COOKING

LEARN TO COOK $200In this introductory class we cover basic cooking skills with a different menu each week. Learn knife skills, stocks, sauces, vegetables, grain cookery, and preparing several cuts of meat. A great class for beginners and anyone who wants to eat more at home!

SPRING MINI ALBUM $100Spring into scrapbooking with a pocket scrapbook! This is a simple and fast way to finish an album with a WOW factor! Complete a 6” x 8” album and 10 pages using this effective scrapbooking method. Printed photos are not required for this class. All supplies and instructions are included.

BEGINNER WILLOW WEAVING $120This two week workshop will introduce you to weaving with willows and get you hooked on weaving! In the first week, learn to make a wreath base and then weave cross pieces to create a tray. In week two, use a pre-made base and learn the basic weaves for the sides and border of a willow basket. All supplies included.

POTTERY: TEXTURED HAND BUILDING $210Explore creative ways to pinch, coil, and build forms before decorating them with a range of techniques such as embossing, carving, and wax resist. Take home four to five uniquely crafted projects. A basic set of pottery tools needs to be purchased for $20. Your instructor will discuss this kit on the first day of class.

DRAWING WITH SOFT PASTELS 1 & 2 $155Soft pastels have an ease of application and can be used as both drawing and painting tools. Experiment with this relatively forgiving medium by exploring various techniques using still life and landscape subjects. Some drawing basics will also be introduced during class from time to time. Material cost is approximately $50-$70.
