John Brems, and Kristi Peterson• Directive – Independently create two potential Council
District Alternatives; three and four district alternatives• Create a process that would meet all applicable State
and County legal requirements.• Develop and execute a public education and comment
process

Districting Discussion• Herriman City’s current City Council is made up of the
Mayor and four Council Members• All elected officials are elected “at-large”
• Creation of City Council Districts • The Mayor would remain “at-large”• All or some of the Council Members would be assigned
to a Council District• Council Member are required reside in their voting
district unless they remain “at-large”• Districts need to have Substantially equal populations
