City Harvest Open for LunchTRANSCRIPT
BRIEF:
Create a non-traditional campaign that promotes City Harvest’s food rescue model as the solution to fighting hunger in New York City. Highlight City Harvest as the connection between high quality food in New York City that would otherwise go to waste.
TARGET:
Food industry, individuals, and corporate and foundation professionals.
SOLUTION:
City Harvest presents Open for Lunch, a portable, collapsable plat-form. Open for Lunch travels to a new location everyday, featuring a different restaurant every week with 100% of the proceeds benefiting City Harvest. Here, restaurants in cooperation with City Harvest have the opportunity to serve a limited version of their menu to a new area of NYC every day. This creates great exposure for both the participating restaurants and City Harvest. At the same time, this gives the public an opportunity to sample some of the city’s hottest restaurants, all while making a contribution to a good cause.

• Open for Lunch is unloaded at the location early in the morning by flatbed truck. The platform arrives closed and remains this way until staff arrives to begin set up for lunch.
