If Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC permits are required , they must be ob tained by a licensed contractor . Structural permits can b e obtained by the owner / agent. The licensed contractor has to call for their own inspections through the occupancy inspections section.

All permits required by this report shall be Occupancy permits pulled on the project number of this report .

After all of the required permits have been purchased and the final inspections have b een made, it is the owners responsibility to notify the Occupancy Department , at 832 - 394 - 8880, for the printing of their certificate . This Certificate must be picked up in person .

Our quoting the 2000 code is done where the codes have not changed since your project was built or where the 2006 code reflects less restrictive requirements.

Earlier selective codes are quoted where less restrictive requirements apply. These codes and effective dates are as follows:

Final inspection for approval is required from each discipline involved, for every building, unless already specifically approved by the discipline on the occupancy report, before Certificate will be issued.

It shall be the duty of the person requesting any inspection to provide access to and means for inspection of such work and a complete copy of the occupancy report and any required permits or plans to the field inspector at the time of the inspections.

If you believe you detect an error on our part please bring it immediately to our attention at 832-394-8880.

Where deficiencies are found, the owner or agent shall be advised in writ­ing of the nature of the observed deficiencies that require correction. Such written notice shall not be construed to excuse compliance with any defects that may not have been observed or noted by the inspectors, and it shall be the duty of the owner to determine and correct all violations of this division.

It shall be the duty of the owner or agent to bring the building into full compliance with this division within the alloted time from the notice given of deficiencies of inspection except to the extent that an extension of time has been granted.

It shall be the duty of the owner or agent to notify this department when all deficiencies have been corrected and all final inspections have been made.
