A. CALL TO ORDER Meeting called to order by DPW Radomski at 9:22 p.m.
B. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Aldermen Rebecca Nichols, James Taylor, Stan Sevenich, Mark Langdon, Steve Krueger, Tom Grade, Ted Grade, Randy Ropella. ALSO PRESENT: Mayor Merkes, CA Captain, PC Styka, ASD Jacobs, CDD Schroeder, DPW Radomski, PHD McKenney, PRD Tungate, HRC Huber, Clerk Galeazzi
C. MINUTES TO APPROVE 1. April 1, 2019 Moved by Ald. Krueger seconded by Ald. Tom Grade to approve minutes.
Motion carried on voice vote.
D. DISCUSSION / ACTION ITEMS 1. Election of Chairman DPW Radomski opened the floor for nominations.
Moved by Ald. Sevenich seconded by Ald. Ted Grade to nominate Ald. Krueger as Chairman of Board of Public Works.
Having no other nominations DPW Radomski closed the nominations and the Clerk was instructed to cast a unanimous ballot for Ald. Krueger as Chairman of Board of Public Works.
Ald. Krueger took over as Chairman.
2. Election of Vice-Chairman Ald. Krueger opened the floor for nominations.
Moved by Ald. Sevenich seconded by Ald. Ted Grade to nominate Ald. Langdon as Vice-Chairman of Board of Public Works.
Having no other nominations Ald. Krueger closed the nominations and the Clerk was instructed to cast a unanimous ballot for Ald. Langdon as Vice-Chairman of Board of Public Works.
3. Payment – Janke General Contractors, Inc.; Contract Unit No. 2019-02; Province
Terrace Trail – Nature’s Way to USH 10/STH 114; $77,339.70 (Payment No. 2) DPW Radomski explained the project is moving along well and seeing progress.
Moved by Ald. Langdon seconded by Ald. Tom Grade to recommend to Common Council the payment to Janke General Contractors, Inc for Contract Unit No. 2019-02, Province Terrace Trail, Nature’s Way to USH 10/STH 114 in the amount of $77,339.70 (Payment No. 2).
Motion carried on roll call 8-0.

4. Recommendation to Award – Contract Unit No. 2019-06; Asphaltic Concrete
Pavement Crack Sealing (Various City Streets); Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, LLC; $75,000
DPW Radomski explained the uniqueness of the bid. The contractors were given an amount of $75,000 and asked how much product they can provide for that amount. That will determine how many streets will be done. Moved by Ald. Langdon seconded by Ald. Ted Grade to recommend to Common Council Recommendation to Award Contract Unit No. 2019-06, asphaltic concrete pavement crack sealing (various City streets) to Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, LLC for the amount of $75,000. Motion carried on roll call 8-0.
