General Guidelines for Indoor Open Play Pickleball • Pickleball is open to all City of Raleigh Pickleball session pass holders or daily pass holders • Daily passes ($2) or session passes ($10) can be purchased at any of the community cen-

ters listed • Participants are expected to follow all facility rules. • Each facility will have at least 3 courts with paddles and balls, unless otherwise noted on

the schedule. • Each facility will have at least 2 courts that will be open for recreational play at all times. While the City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department (PRCR) does not have any official or implied relationship with USA Pickleball Association, PRCR does acknowledge USAPA’s role in establishing governing rules for Pickleball play. With that in mind, PRCR pickleball play will utilize the USAPA’s Code of Conduct.

USAPA Code of Conduct The mission of the USAPA is to promote the growth and development of pickleball. This sport will succeed best if its players embrace the values of good sportsmanship. It is essential that USAPA members and volunteers, in promoting this mission, model good behavior, lead by ex-ample, display respect and show self-control. Every person involved in pickleball (participant, official, volunteer, or representative of the USAPA or spectator) pledges as follows: I will not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct or encourage others to do so. I will not engage in any behavior that would endanger the health, safety or wellbeing of others. I will not engage in the use of profanity. I will treat others with respect. I will exhibit fairness and honesty in my dealings with others. I will not flaunt my position. I will not use USAPA records or materials for personal gain. I will observe the Golden Rule of doing unto others as I would have them do unto me. The above Code applies in all situations that relate directly or indirectly to pickleball play. Any person involved in the Indoor Open Play Pickleball Program (participant, official, volun-teer, or representative of the USAPA or spectator) found to be in violation of the USAPA Code of Conduct, Open Play Guidelines, or PRCR Facility Rules may be asked to leave the current pickleball session and may also receive a suspension for future play, depending on the severity of the offense.
