PROJECT OVERVIEW
Vectos has helped gain planning approval for a 17 storey, 260 unit serviced apartment development on Chapel Street, Salford including a pool and café, providing a unique offer for those who want high quality furnished accommodation where they can move in right away and benefit from a range of services and facilities.
Vectos has supported the scheme with a Transport Statement, Travel Plan and a Waste & Servicing Strategy. The scheme offers no parking space on site and the access for deliveries and refuse collection is constrained. Vectos offered advice on how to overcome these limitations and ensure that the site is sustainable. Finally, Vectos also secured the closure of highway on the site against very short timescales.
OUR APPROACH
Vectos understand the requirements of Salford City Council and because the scheme impacts on public realm works and the neighbouring Greengate/ Embankment development our understanding has meant we can resolve potential access issues without compromise to the masterplan. We have also added value to the scheme by undertaking a vehicle impact study on an exposed column allowing the risks to be quantified and mitigated.
