utilize the feedback?
Yes. Class Monitoring Committee meetings are conducted to collect feedback from the
teachers about the studentsperformance and the class committee counsels and advises the
students based on the feedback. Faculty discuss about the pros and cons of the current

curriculum and syllabi. Based on the discussions, the new curriculum is formed.
b. Students on staff, curriculum and teaching-learning evaluation and how does the departmentutilize the feedback?
Feedback is taken from the students twice in a semester. Feedback is taken once after the first mid exam. If any of the faculty member gets poor feedback, then HoD counsels that faculty member
after assessing the positive and negative points of the faculty member.
After counseling, faculty member is given two weeks time to improve their performance inthe subject.
If the faculty members performance is not satisfactory even after two weeks time anotherfaculty member is assigned for that subject.
Second time, feedback from the students is taken after 3rdmid exam (i.e., at the end of thesemester). For the faculty members who got less feedback, Orientation classes are
arranged to mould the faculty members in a better way.
c. Alumni and employers on the programmes offered and how does the department utilize thefeedback?
Representatives from alumni and employers are members of the syllabus committee. Duringthe revision of syllabus and formation of new curriculum, the department utilizes feedback

45. List the teaching methods adopted by the faculty for different programmes.
1. Direct instruction - This strategy includes methods such as lecture, practice and demonstrations. The direct instruction strategy is effective for providing information or developing step-by-step skills. This strategy also works well for introducing other teaching methods, or actively involving students
in knowledge construction.2. Indirect instruction: indirect instruction is mainly student-centred. It includes reflectivediscussion, concept formation, concept attainment, problem solving using case studies, and guidedinquiry.3. Interactive instruction: discussion and sharing among students to enrich knowledge andcommunication skills.
4. Independent study: Independent study include learning in partnership with another individual oras part of a small group like mini projects, assignments and research paper presentations.
5. Experimental Learning: Experiential learning greatly increases understanding and retentioncapabilities of the students.
46. How does the department ensure that programme objectives are constantly met and
learning outcomes are monitored?
Program objectives:
The programme is aimed at providing students with deep understanding of the computer
hardware and software needed for various purposes. This course includes basic skills in
the operation and use of computers and the application of software packages to solve
business problems. The course empowers the students with skills to stay on top to counter
rampant commercialization. The department additionally offers value added
programmes to give extra inputs like Communication Skills, Soft Skills and Project
Management skills etc., especially to those who have graduated in science subjects from
rural areas.Professional Outcomes:
After the completion of this course the student would learn and apply the basic skills
along with advanced technologies . Also gains hands-on Experiences ready to be absorbed
by the industry. He/she also gets acquainted with managerial skills doing management
subjects and becomes a full-fledged personality to attract the industry by his/her splended
communication skills as well as soft skills which are the need of the hour. He does gain
hands-on experience by the entrusted three mini projects and gets familiarised with the
high-end versions. He learns to maintain composure even at the high recession times as he
gets exposed to many areas like management, communication skills and soft skills
.Totally he/she moulded into a flowering personality.
