Year End, 2018
Dear Clark Families,
As we come to the end of another busy year - we would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff, parents, guardians,
family members and community members for their continued support of Clark Blvd PS.
Our students have played important leadership roles in the school throughout the year. We had students as Office Helpers,
Lunch Monitors and PALS leaders. We had students helping with our daily Breakfast program as well as Balmoral Leader-
ship Summit and Ambassadors, Pizza Helpers and Fitness Friends. We had students participate in physical activities like
Soccer, Basketball, Track and Field, Cross Country and Tubing.
This year, we:
held our second Family Fitness Night, which was a collaborative event organized by Clark staff, students and the Re-
gion of Peel Health.
Thank you very much to the many staff and community partners, and parents that have organized, supported and attended
these experiences for our students.
Our annual Fall Fair and Open House is scheduled for Thursday October 4th, from 6-7:30 pm. Please plan to join us! Our
first School Council meeting is scheduled for Thursday September 28th at 9:00am. All parents are welcome to attend. Learn
about upcoming school events, and how you can get involved in school life. If you are interested in volunteering at the
school, please stop by the office to get the necessary forms to secure a Criminal Record Check with the Peel Regional Police.
At this time of year, the process is quicker, and as always for volunteers it is free!
I would like to extend our very best wishes to our Grade 5 students who are
leaving us to begin their middle school journey. On behalf of the staff of
Clark Blvd PS, we wish you a safe and enjoyable summer!
Sincerely,
Margaret Wise-Hellmuth Kevin Sebastian Principal Vice Principal

students who currently have medication at school. If there are other students who will need one, please inform the
office to send a form home. Please take the opportunity over the summer to have this filled out and signed by your
doctor and return it with the medication by the first day of school. As well, new this year, are “Plan of Care” forms for
students with serious medical issues, such as anaphylaxis, severe asthma, seizure disorders or diabetes.
The We Welcome the World Centres are open during July and August to register and provide orientation interview/
assessment appointments for new students to Peel.

Parents who would like to volunteer in school activities, in the classrooms or on excursions must have a Criminal
Record Check. It is necessary for anyone who wishes to volunteer at Clark Boulevard to have a Criminal Record
Check completed and submitted to the Peel District School Board before they can volunteer in the school.
During the 2018-2019 school year, we will need Reading Program volunteers, where we welcome parents and
community members to Clark, to read with children. We will be matching volunteers with classes ranging from
Kindergarten—Grade 2. As we will have a variety of opportunities for parents to support us with fundraising
opportunities such as pizza days. If you are considering volunteering for the upcoming school year, please stop by the office to obtain the forms. Please
be aware that there is now a fee for Police Reference Checks, however if this is a one time fee if you complete the year-
