Learning window Articles- A, An, The

‘A’ and’ an’ are called indefinite articles.

‘A’ or ‘an’ is used for any one person or thing.

‘A’ or ‘an’ is not used before things more than one or those we cannot count. For example:

honey, oil, water

We use ‘a’ before words that begin with consonant sounds.

We use ‘an’ before words that begin with vowel sounds.

Example: a fat girl , an honest man, a camel, an orange
