Raksha Bandhan is a festival which is celebrated toincrease the bond of a brother and sister. Peoplecelebrate it with much enthusiasm in India. Similarly, itdoes not matter if you are a kid or an adult.Furthermore, it strengthens the bond between them too.‘Raksha’ translates to the protection and ‘Bandhan’translates to bond. As per Hindu mythology, inMahabharata, the great Indian epic, Draupadi, wife ofthe Pandavas had torn the corner of her sari to preventLord Krishna's wrist from bleeding. Thus, a bond, that ofbrother and sister developed between them, and hepromised to protect her. This festival falls on the last dayof the Hindu Saawan month. However, the particular bondof a brother and sister is very unique. No matter how muchthey fight with one another, they always stand behind themin support. This day has been rightly recognized to have agood time on this beautiful bond. It serves as a symbol oftheir love, togetherness, and confidence in each other.

“Harry potter” (full series)Ques 1: - Write a brief of the book?Ans 1: - The Harry Potter books were the most popular series written by J. K. Rowling. This series spans of eight books. The books have been made into eight films by Warner Bros. The seventh book is split into two films and the eighth books movie is yet to come. The books concern a wizard called Harry Potter and his journey through Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The stories tell of him overcoming dangerous obstacles to defeat the Dark wizard Lord Voldemort who killed his parents when Harry was 15 months old. The stories are full of adventure, thrill, magic and suspense..

Ques 2: - What do I like about it?Ans 2: - I liked the character of Harry potter who was fearless, kind, brave, intelligent, loyal and so on. I actually felt that I was in the world of magic. The story had many turns and twists which were unpredictable and thrilling. While reading the story I just kept on reading the pages without stopping as it was an engrossing, gripping and captivating book. The most favourite part of this book to me was the end of the deadly war of Hogwarts against Lord Voldemort by Harry Potter.Ques 3: - What do I dislike about the book?Ans 3: - The thing I disliked was pre-justice made for the students who are sorted into different houses. Like a student in Slytherin are a dark wizard. I think this thing should not have been..

Ques 4: - Any change that you want in the story?Ans 4: - I would have appreciated and would be keen to know the story if Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy (who was jealous of Harry Potter) would have worked together against Lord Voldemort in the Hogwarts war. This is because that could make another twist in the story of Harry potter..

Ques 5: - What would be your rating?

Ans 5: - I would give the rating of 8.5/10 for the full series of harry potter book.

-BOOK REVIEW-A FACE IN THE DARK AND OTHER HAUNTINGS

Ruskin Bond famously remarks that one doesn‟thas to believe in ghosts in order to enjoy a good ghoststory.. He himself had a vision if you say , of his longdead father looking just as he did when he was achild.. He sees the boy on the storm-swept hillside orthe child playing on the haunted hill. Ruskin Bonddoesn‟t believe in ghosts although he sees them all thetime- in the woods, in a bar, in a crowd outside thecinema and who knows where else.. Not surprising, then, that in his stories, ghosts, jinns, witches and theoccasional monster are as real as the people he talksabout.. In this book are together all of his tales of theparanormal. It opens with the unforgettable story, „Aface in the dark‟ and ends with the shockinglymacabre „Night of the millennium‟ . It has a feelingwhich may or may not make you believe in thesupernatural, it can make you ponder upon themysteries of human existence, and raise the possibilityof another layer of life outside our material selves—something of the soul-source the aura of a person thatlingers on after the body is no more. This comprisingclassic stories that range from chilling to thewhimsical— for the supernatural has its funny sidetoo— A Face in the Dark and Other Hauntings is theperfect collection to have by your side when the moonis up…

THE MONSOON…I like the rainy season most. It is also known as monsoonseason. It is My favourite and best season among all the fourseasons. Rainy season starts in India in the month of Junewhen winds of South West Monsoon starts blowing. Monsoonbegins in the middle of June, and continues up toSeptember.

According to Hindu calendar this season is felt in the monthsof Asaadha and Shravana. During the season, the sky isgenerally overcast with cloud. The clouds of different shadesmove in the sky and look very nice. Sometimes, rain comesalong with lightning and thunder. The Rainy Season comesafter the Summer Season, so, this season brings relief to theburning earth scorched in the summer heat. Thetemperature remains pleasant during the monsoon. All theliving things enjoy the rainy season by getting wet into therain water.

Rainy season adds scenic beauty to the environment. It givesa new life to the earth. The soil becomes wet and nourishedwith new drops of water. All the trees and plants getcovered with new green leaves and lawns and fields getscovered with the great looking green velvet grass. Thebeautiful rainbow falls in the sky.

THE MONSOON…The sun plays hide-and-seek with theclouds. Peacocks and other forest birds start dancingin full swing by spreading their wings. In this seasonthe rivers, canals, tanks and other low land are full ofwater.

Rainy season is of great importance for the Indianfarmers as they really need more water for theircrops cultivation. A large number of farmers dependupon monsoon-rains to meet the food requirement oftheir family. They engage in agricultural activities notto sell the crops, but for their own needs too.

During the Rainy Season, people face a lot ofdifficulties. Excessive rains cause flood and absence ofrain creates drought. It brings us someinconveniences. After flood effects are much asepidemic starts. It causes diarrhea, dysentery, typhoid and other digestive system disorders.

In spite of these difficulties the rainy season bringshappiness to the minds of the people. We alsocelebrate many Indian festivals with great enthusiasmin this season.
