The Class of 1969 was invited to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of their “First Days” at Roncalli High School. As charter members of the Class of ‘69, they were asked to join the current faculty, staff and students of Roncalli to share their memories, visit with classmates,

and meet former teachers.

in Manitowoc at the Harbor Town Campus. She and her husband, Joe, also celebrated the birth of their second daughter, Violet Grace, on May 26, 2015. They also have a 3-year old daughter, Kaidyn Elise.

Class of 2001

Patrick Stangel married Tiffany Barker of Denver, Colorado on November 14, 2014 at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They reside in Denver. Patrick has his Psych degree from UW-Milwaukee and works at Denver Children’s Hospital as a Behavorial Counselor. As of July 2015 they will be moving to Raleigh, NC where Tiffany will be starting med school at Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC.

Class of 2004

Jake Peters and his wife, Katie, celebrated the birth of their son, Jerome Earl, born December 4, 2014. Joe Cohen and Rachel Gretzinger were united in marriage on November 8, 2014. Joe is a computer software developer at Roydan Enterprises in Manitowoc and Rachel is the youth minister at St. Peter the Fisherman parish in Two Rivers. Kate Culligan graduated from Lakeshore Technical College with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Amanda (Cherney) Matczynski has been promoted to Marketing, Public Relations & Community Service Director at Cherney Microbiological Services, Ltd. Joe Holzinger and Lauren Rock are engaged to be married and are planning an August 2016 wedding. Joe is a Civil Engineer and lives in Lodi, CA.

Class of 2005

Jessica (Green) Meyer is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) at Holy Family Memorial Family Medicine. She is a graduate of the physician assistant studies program at Marquette University, and has a special interest in treating obesity and weight loss management. Nick Westerhausen graduated from Lakeshore Technical College as an Auto Collision Repair & Refinishing Technician.

Class of 2006

Andrea Brandt earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Concordia

Chief of the Manitowoc Police Department by the Police and Fire Commission in February. He will take over responsibility of Police Chief on January 8, 2016 when current Police Chief Tony Dick retires. Nick has more than 20 years of law enforcement experience. Rebecca (Flentje) Harrison has been promoted to Security Officer, BSA and Compliance Specialist at Bank First National. She and her husband, Lux, have four children.

Class of ‘94

Jeremy Kronforst was given the Police Officer of the Year honor. He has served on the Manitowoc Police Department since March 2001 and was assigned to be a school resource officer in August 2014.

Class of ‘96

Sarah (Fictum) Mireski and her husband, Chris, are happy to announce the birth of their first child, a baby girl, Micayla AnnMarie, born February 8, 2015. They live in Lomira, WI.

Class of ‘97

Stacey (Williams) Kennedy married Stephen Kennedy on October 19, 2013 and they welcomed their first child, son, Declan, on December 25, 2014. They live in Chicago, IL.

Class of ‘98

Andy Holzinger and his wife, Katie, are happy to announce the birth of their daughter, Marie Katherine, born May 2, 2015. They also have a 2-year old son, Henry Matthew.

Class of 2000

Sarah (Holzinger) Reveal earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing, graduating from Concordia University on May 15, 2015. She is employed as a Nurse Practitioner at Holy Family Hospital

Class of ‘69 Sue (Schneider) Schmitt was honored at Roncalli’s 48th annual cross country invitational on September 12, 2015. The meet was renamed the “Sue Schneider-Schmitt Invitational” in recognition of her dedication, faith, and ability to motivate and guide young people for five decades. Sue, a long-time Roncalli math teacher, coach and now volunteer, has been a part of 47 of the 48 invites ever held. Gregory Waegli and his wife Jean, celebrated 35 years of marriage on May 17, 2015.

Class of ‘78

Mary (Andrastek) Peters professed her vows to God in a New Genesis Community on Tuesday, June 30th. She is from St. Philip the Apostle Parish in Green Bay, WI. Paul Schermetzler has been promoted to security officer and BSA specialist at Bank First National. Paul joined the bank in 2014 with experience in crime prevention and law enforcement.

Class of ‘88

Rani (Steeber) Beckner is now a pastoral care specialist at Holy Family Memorial after graduating summa cum laude from Silver Lake College in December 2014. She is among the first group of students to receive a degree through the collaborative program between SLC and the Diocese of Green Bay. Class of ‘90

Amy Fricke-Weigel was selected this year’s Clipper City Chordsmen Harmony Award recipient, an award presented to a person who has created harmony in Manitowoc County through service to others.

University Wisconsin in May. Andrea is currently completing a one-year post-graduate residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.

Class of 2007

Nicholas Blattner graduated from Silver Lake College with a degree in Business Management. Melanie Holzinger and Eric Pozorski (‘06) were married on October 23, 2015. Elizabeth (Bauer) and Alex Allie are new parents of a baby girl, Abigail Rose, born September 21, 2015.

Class of 2008

Timothy Gainey graduated from Marquette University, doctor of dental surgery, dentistry. Kaitlin Markowski earned a bachelor of science, health promotion degree from UW-Stevens Point.

Class of 2009

Allyson Binversie and John Oven were married on August 22, 2015. Allyson is a 2013 graduate of Gonzaga University, receiving her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2014. They are making their new home in Valencia, CA. Stefanie Eis and Brad Lighthall were married July 18, 2015. Stephanie graduated from Concordia University in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Management & Marketing. Adam Koss-Arias received a bachelor of business administration, general business degree from UW-Whitewater.

Class of 2010 Emily Lauren is a member of the Silver Lake Chorale which began its annual concert tour on March 5th. They visited Washington, D.C., as well as Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Virginia and Illinois.

Moriah Fleck Mitchell graduated from UW Milwaukee, College of Health Sciences, Master of Science. Justin Mrotek graduated from Silver Lake College with a degree in Business Management. Stephanie Fricke, an undergrad at UW Madison, recently received the ACS WI

Section Excellence in Analytical Chemistry Award for outstanding performance in Chemistry 329: Analytical Chemistry. This was granted based on academic merit as well as achievement in research and teaching. Melissa Sowinski graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor of arts, theology for catholic school ministry. Matthew Roberts was named to the 2014-15 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Scholastic Honor Roll. He graduated from UW-Whitewater with a bachelor of science, mathematics degree.

Mitchel Miller graduated from UW-Madison, from the college of letters and science, with a bachelor of arts, history, sociology degree. Austin Mleziva graduated from UW-Madison, from the college of letters and science, with a bachelor of science, computer sciences, economics degree. Rebecca Schmidt graduated from UW-Madison, from the school of human ecology, with a bachelor of science, community and nonprofit leadership degree.

Kayla Kasper graduated magna cum laude from UW-Oshkosh with a bachelor of science degree in education. Hailey Gill graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a bachelor of business administration, marketing degree.

Class of 2011

Billy Chermak graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. Olivia Krejcarek is a three-sport athlete at Division III College of St. Scholastica, and was named the female winner of the 2015 Conference (UMAC) Scholarship Athlete Leadership Award. The honor recognizes graduating seniors who demonstrate a healthy balance by achieving excellence in academics, leadership, and service while participating in intercollegiate athletics.

Ben Stelzer earned a bachelor of science in finance from Michigan Tech. He also added two more prestigious awards to his resume from the 2014-15 basketball season. He was named Daktronics/Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-American Second Team and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Academic All-American.

Jolene Wilhelm is a graduate with a major in political science at Northwestern College. She is also the recipient of the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in political science. Mary Bettag graduated from Silver Lake College with a degree in Theology and Mathematics. Michael Gresl graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor of science, accounting degree. Claire Krummel graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor of science, biomedical sciences degree. Atley Gay earned a bachelor of arts in economics degree from Lawrence University. Carly Ann Braun graduated from UW-Madison, from the college of letters and science with a bachelor of arts, religious studies, sociology degree.

Emily Novak earned a bachelor of science, exercise and sport science major, from UW-La Crosse. Carolyn Bruce graduated from UW-Madison, from the college of letters and science with a bachelor of arts, English degree. Andrea Zahn earned a bachelor of science, exercise and sport science major, from UW-La Crosse. Thomas Jessessky graduated from UW-Madison, from the school of business, bachelor of business administration. Scott Schleunes graduated from St. Norbert College, bachelor of science, cum laude, graduate of the honors program.

Collin Salutz graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of business administration, accounting degree from UW-Whitewater. Joe Engelbrecht and Brooke De Noyer were married on April 11, 2015. Joe is employed at Eis Implement in Two Rivers and they reside in Manitowoc. Collin Willman graduated cum laude from UW-Oshkosh with a bachelor of science, criminal justice degree.

Class of 2012

Taylor Peltier is a senior mathematics major and has been appointed to serve as a representative on the College of Letters and Sciences Dean’s Advisory Council at UW-

Whitewater. Lucy Schmitz was named the Ortho-Carolina Female Student Athlete of the Week for April 27th, 2015. Lucy won two Conference Carolinas titles at the outdoor championships, for the 5,000 and 10,000 meter runs. Dylan Budan graduated from Lakeshore Technical College as a Horticulture Technician.

Class of 2014

Tyler Heyduk has been named the recipient of this year’s Shady Lane Associate Degree in Nursing Scholarship. He is currently a CNA and is continuing his education, working toward a BSN and ultimately would like to work in oncology. Sarah Wagner has been trained and certified to be a UW-Whitewater peer mentor. She is a sophomore accounting major.

Class of 2015

Brant Parker Schneider has completed all of the requirements for the highest rank of Eagle Scout on November 13, 2014. On his trail to Eagle, he also completed 39 merit badges. A celebration was held this summer to honor this earned award. Kristin Senglaub was awarded a Medical/Dental Endowment Scholarship from Holy Family Hospital, designed for students who will pursue advanced degrees in a healthcare field. Patrick Ruether earned the rank of Eagle Scout by completing a major

project for Pinecrest Historical Village, He led members of Boy Scout Troop 915 in painting the playground locomotive and three train cars. Patrick served as assistant and senior patrol leader.

Allison Zahn received a $500 scholarship to attend UW-Manitowoc, in memory of former Kiwanis member Allen Schoepke. Allison plans to major in social work.
