Required Courses
• 4 credits of English (including 9th Lit & Amer Lit)
• 4 credits of Math• 4 credits of Science* • 3 credits of Social Studies (4 courses)• ½ credit Health and ½ credit Personal Fitness• 3 Elective credits from CTAE, Fine Arts or Foreign
Language
Science Requirement
–4 units of Science, which must include:• 1 unit of Biology• 1 unit of Physical Science or Physics
• 1 unit of Chemistry, Earth Systems or Environmental Science
• 1 unit of a 4th science
Math Requirement
• 4 credits of Math are required for graduation• Support, Prep, and Lab classes DO NOT count
toward the 4 required credits.• Sample Path: Math I, Math II, Math III, Math IV
ORMath I, Math II, Math III, Adv. Math Decision MakingAP Calculus is also a 4th math credit if you were on the accelerated math track.
Foreign Language Alert!
• Foreign Language is not required for graduation.
• 2 and 4 year colleges still require 2 credits of the same foreign language for admissions.

Seals• Fine Arts
– 4 credits (Band, Visual Arts, Chorus or Drama)– 2 credits must be from same discipline
• Foreign Language - 4 credits of the same foreign language
• Academic Seal– 3 Advanced Placement (AP) or Dual
Enrollment credits– 3 Certificate completions from technical school
dual enrollment program– Or a combination of the above
GHSGT vs. EOCT
• You must pass the Writing section of the GHSGT
If you have to take a class in credit recovery, you will still have to take the EOCT before you earn credit. EOCT’s
count as 20% of your final grade. EOCT’s MAY be replaced with the GA Milestone
test this year.
