Y ou should be learning alo ng with your students. 3. Print handouts and quizzes well ahead of time. Check your materials and c lassroom ten minutes before class begins. 4. Remind incoming students to drink water, use the restroom, and finish their homework before class begins. 5. Review your lesson plan with your TA and/or co-teacher. During Class 1. If students arrive late, give them a penalty. They could answer three questions or describe an object in five sentences. 2. Do not speak Chinese to students. Instead, use a variety on input  body language, visual aids, and spoken and written English to get your point across. 3. Dont respond to Chinese input from students. 4. If a student is repeatedly disruptive , either have your T A take him or her aside or call me. 5. If a student curses or is violent towards you or another student, inform their parents at the break or after class. Before Breaks / End of Class 1. Students should help tidy up the classroom. Give them one or two minutes to do this. 2. Students place completed homework on their desks. Students who have not completed their homework must do so before being allowed to leave for break time. 3. Students sit quietly while you call them to line up one-by-one. Ask each student one review question before allowing them to leave the classroom.  4. If discipline during breaks is an issue for your group, play a movie during break times. 5. If a student is unruly, disruptive, or harms school property during break times, inform their parents after class. During Breaks / After Class 1. Speak to as many parents as possible. Before Class
