Message From The Class Teacher
As Class Teachers, we are not expected to write a message for the E-
Magazine but on receiving a sincere request from the student editors,
who asked me to write a message for the class, I decided to comply as I
couldnt have refused my students something so simple especially
since theyve worked so hard to put this magazine together.
Greetings! I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and you
have become used to online learning. I am glad that you have come out
of your comfort zones and adjusted to this new way of learning.
It was good to see that most of you utilized the time wisely and
listened to Audio Books, read E-books and contributed for the E-
Magazine. I express a special thanks to the Editing and the Designing
team for working to their full capacity. Always remember, 'Learning is
a never-ending process and there is no limit to knowledge'. So, learn
and rise up!

Message From the Editorial and The Designing Team
We are exalted to present to you the Class Magazine, „Blend by the
students of VI B. The students of the class showed immense
cooperation and devotion in the making of this magazine. They have
also shared their experience of E-learning and have given a glimpse of
their lives during the lockdown. On behalf of the students, we would
like to express our gratitude to the teachers who gave us this
opportunity to express our views and thoughts in this magazine. We,
on behalf of all the students, would also like to appreciate all the
teachers for their hard work and dedication towards making our lives
better through E-learning when the schools are closed.
Thank you so much teachers. We value your efforts.

My Experience as a Student Editor
This summer I got an opportunity to be the Student Editor of my classs
E-magazine. I was exalted. Being an editor, was a huge responsibility and
a great learning experience for me, something I had never done before. I
had to proofread the content and it was a humongous task for me. I
painstakingly finished proofreading each and every content, submitted by
the students. I was having a joyous time. I really enjoyed the contents for
they were creative and imaginative. Also, I learned many new words such
as lip-smacking, craving, Spaghetti Arrabiata Pasta etc. The best part was
that I did not have to write on a piece of paper but had to do it on
Microsoft Word. The most challenging part for me was when I had to
check for plagiarism. I also wrote an article for the first time. I was afraid
that I might make a blunder. After sending the content, I was relieved as
well as felt delighted at the same time. I thank my teachers for providing
such an opportunity to me.

It was a great experience to work as the Student Editor. The editor work's
is not only to edit, but also to ensure that all the members of the group
work as a team. This also includes challenges like collecting articles or
photographs from the team members and collating them together. Thank
you, maam, for trusting me and choosing me as the Student Editor. It was
a great learning experience for me.

COVID-19 is spreading all over the world. This virus emerged from China. Corona
virus spreads through close contact. The country that is most affected is America.
India is now ranked fourth in the number of cases around the world. The numbers of
COVID-19 cases are rising rapidly. Around 24,000 new cases are reported every
day in India. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Delhi are the worst affected states.
In the whole world, more than 11 million people are infected (as per figures on 5th
July 2020). Due to this virus, many countries have been through or are still going
through a lockdown period and people are not stepping out of their homes. The
lockdown has had a severe impact on the world economy and many have lost their
jobs. People are repeatedly being asked to take precautions, which includes frequent
hand washing with soap, wearing a mask while stepping out of homes, use of
gloves, hand sanitization, social distancing.
We may have to live with Covid-19 for maybe a few more months or years
depending on when the vaccine is developed. Lets not create panic. People are
getting restless sitting at homes, we should use this time to learn new skills or
something that we couldnt do because of lack of time. We will have to find
positivity in the situation and keep moving on.

Once upon a time, a brother and a sister named Jack and Annie lived near the
mountains. But they were forbidden to trek through those mountains. Every morning,
a bright golden light used to come from a nearby mountain – much smaller than the
mountains around it. Jack and Annie always thought there was something on top of
that mountain.
One day when Jack was digging his backyard to sow some seeds, he saw an old book
that seemed to be a century old. He was surprised! He ran to Annie and told her
about the weird book. Jack and Annie decided to open it and were shocked to see that
it was blank. They checked every page of the book and finally saw a map in the
middle of that blank book. The map was of a cave on top of the mountain from where
the golden light came every morning. The last page had a graphic of water being
dropped on the map. Jack brought some water; told Annie to hold the book and
poured a drop of water on the first page of the book. They saw part of the drawing
becoming visible. Jack started dropping more water on the books pages and left the
book in the sun to dry. Once dried, they saw several drawings of the traps to enter the
cave come to life and also ways to escape thosetraps to reach the treasure.
Since they were not allowed to trek the mountains, they made a plan. It was bedtime
and after their parents went to sleep, Jack and Annie sneaked out of the house at
around 12 midnight with some equipment like shovels, axe, rope, backpack and the
old-weird book. They started to climb as fast as they could and reached half way in
no time. Annie read in the book that the door of the treasure cave only opened at 4
a.m. and told this to Jack. He checked the time, it was 2 a.m. As they reached the top
of the mountain, they waited at the gate of the big cave. Annie kept reading the
instructions in the book, she told Jack not to put his foot on the white painted square
else they would fall down. They carefully stood away from the white square. “One
more trap before we can enter the cave at 4 am,” she yelled! She said “Jack there will
be some soldiers ahead, though made up of bones but they are the greatest warriors.
They are not easy to defeat, even if we use a gun, bomb or anything, there is no
solution to the warriors written in the book.” Jack thought for some time and said,
“Lets trick them and get them trapped in the white painted square.” Annie looked at
the book again and saw that after they would cross the warriors, there would be one
more trap.

They both started moving forward and soon were faced by those three soldiers. The
soldiers were huge carrying a sword and a shield. As soon as the soldiers charged
towards them, they started running backwards to the first trap and tricked the two
soldiers to step on the white painted square and they both fell into the valley. The last
soldier raised his sword in the air and was about to hit Annie. Jack used his shovel to
block the soldiers hit and Annie pushed the soldier into the white square, and he also
fell into the valley. They started moving forward. As per the book, next up was a
dangerous wolf. There were still 30 minutes to go before the clock would hit 4. The
wolf had no nose and its eyes were too big. Annie quickly looked into the book,
which hinted at using water to fight the wolf. Jack pulled out his water bottle and
splashed the water on the wolf. The wolf started disappearing, so their trick worked.
Right at 4 a.m., the door of the cave opened and they both entered. They saw an old
casket. Jack opened the casket, which was full of mud. His hand hit a small box
inside the casket. They pulled it out and saw that the key was missing. They again
ran their hands inside the mud in the casket and found a key after much effort. Jack
opened the box with the key and was elated to find pearls, sapphire and gold, and
finally their hunt for the treasure ended.
They both came back home before their parents woke up.

Spaghetti Arrabiata Pasta. I shared my
wish with my mom but as usual, we
couldnt go outside because the lockdown
had been extended till 3rd May. After
finishing my school homework, I played
video games. My mom asked me to come
to the dining area in the evening around
7:30 pm. When I came out of the room, I
was so surprised that my parents had set up
an Italian restaurant for me. They
welcomed me, with my mom, of course
playing the role of a chef and my father
acted as an attendant. My father gave
details about the special menu which was
homemade Garlic bread, Spaghetti
served. My parents danced to the tune of
Ed Sheerans song, „Perfect Symphony. I
enjoyed their performance while having
the most lip-smacking, spicy-delicious
pasta. I had a good time at my parents
restaurant and I will never forget this
beautiful experience.

I was so excited today for it is my
younger brothers birthday. I woke up
early and got ready for the lovely day.
Then my mother and I arranged the
gifts on my brothers bed. When he
woke up, we played the birthday song.
He was so happy. He opened the gifts
and said that it was the most special
birthday. He thanked us for making his
birthday so special.
still planned a birthday party. My
mother made Gulab jamun and chhole
bhature, whereas I baked a cake for the
party. We decorated the house with
balloons and the birthday banner. All
the members of the family danced to
the tunes of the latest hit songs. After
that, my brother cut the cake and we
had the delicious food my mother had
prepared. We had great fun and
cherished the moments spent with each
other.
