This Summer at Spotlight we’re offering you more!

You can earn credits by doing different activities that will book you a place on a trip.

We are also offering you the chance to get accreditations and qualifications.

All the Creative programs are Arts Award Projects - this means you could get a Bronze or Silver Arts Award for taking part in Summer - projects marked with AA are eligible.

There are also Sports leadership, coaching and even Barista (that’s coffee making) qualifications up for grabs so don’t delay…

Look out for the SA Symbol to Credit yourself this summer and get Accredited!

Jewellery Makingwith London College of FashionCome and join a jewellery workshop with London College of Fashion. You’ll have an opportunity to research and design your own pieces, working with a variety of materials and techniques! This 3 day project is for Girls Only aged 14+

Film A Day (Full Day)with In Motion Productions Get a crash course on how to make movies, videos, vlogs and more. Working with Steven from IMP get to grips with cameras and sound to make a movie in a day.

Art Attack (Full Day)with Bow ArtsSpend the day getting creative and get those artistic skills flowing. Using different art forms like Graffiti, Painting, Drawing and more see your visions come to life.

Beats & Loops (Full Day)with Spotlight Using music technology create a track of your very own. Experiment with Beat Pads, Loop Pedals and Microphones, have some fun and make some jams!

Spotlight is a Creative Youth Service designed to inspire. Take part in Creative activities to develop existing talents or try new things.

Play in a Weekwith The S+K ProjectThe amazing S+K project return for another Summer Holiday Show. Using improvisation, spoken word and physical theatre techniques, create your own show based on your ideas and issues. Perform the play on Friday night.

Digital Mediawith Bow Arts Last year you created a new Mural for the Games Room. This year we’re asking you to make it come to life. Using the Blippar App and multi-media techniques such as stop motion, animation and more. Create vlogs, blogs and content for the interactive wall.

Community Sports Leaders Awardwith Sports Leaders UK The CSLA is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful learners to assist in leading purposeful and enjoyable sport/physical activity, under direct supervision. The course will cover: Leadership & organisation skills, planning, communication and teamwork through the medium of sport.

BOX Instructor Coursewith England Boxing BOX is a new fitness experience devised by England Boxing coaches who have worked with the best boxers in the country. Participants gain all-over body conditioning while learning the techniques used by Olympic boxers to succeed in the ring. Classes incorporate many different elements of boxing training, such as partner pad-work, skipping, punch bags and shadow boxing, ensuring participants get a great overall cardiovascular workout; developing core strength, co-ordination and fitness.

Table Tennis Leadership Awardwith Table Tennis England The Table Tennis Leadership Award could be the first step on the coaching, officiating or tournament organising administration ladder for young people assisting at table tennis clubs, after school clubs, youth centres or school holiday schemes. The course covers: Leadership Skills, Health and Safety, Equipment, Learning to Play, Table Tennis Laws and Scoring, Organising Table Tennis Activities and Volunteering.

Basketball Activators Awardwith Basketball England This is an introductory level qualification designed to empower young people with the skills, drills and basic technical knowledge to deliver recreational/social basketball. Community Heroeswith Spotlight Calling all volunteers who want to make a difference and gain experience through giving back! Each Tuesday we will be going out into the local community and lending a hand to those who need us most.

Our new team of volunteers that take part over the summer will be invited to form part of a new young leaders group and are invited to a fun team building trip on the 22nd August.
