B1 .44cal Remington New Model Army Revolver R 8500.00

Manufactured 1863 to 1873, 8" octagonal barrel, 6 shot cylinder. Steel frame

and barrel, brass trigger guard plate. Smooth bone grips. Loss of markings to

barrel. Low serial number 5xx. With its solid frame the Remington was

regarded as one the more desirable cap n' ball revolvers. All in good working

order.

B2 Pair of Manton Percussion Pistols R 15000.00

The master, and it shows! Octagonal 9" Damascus smoothbore barrels of

about 5/8" (16mm) bore, engraved "Joseph Manton Hanover Square

London" The bar side locks similarly showing "Joseph Manton" . Light

trigger pulls. The butts with exquisite silver wire inlaying in scrollwork all over.

Curved butts are nicely hand chequered to about 22LPI. Engraved locks,

hammers, tangs and finials Only jarring note is mismatched ramrods. VGC.

B3 Pair of Powell Percussion Pistols R 18000.00

With heavy Damascus octagonal smoothbore barrels, 8 1/4" (210mm) long

and 7/8" across the flats. Silvered front sights for better visibility. Bore is

about 9/16' or 14mm. Back action locks on the right hand sides. Engraved

locks, trigger guards & hammers. Adjustable triggers. The stocks of good

walnut, very finely chequered. Rounded butts. Much original finish to

Damascus barrels. German silver nose-caps. Very good condition.

B4 .36 Colt Navy Revolver R 19500.00

7 1/2" octagonal barrel, 6 shot cylinder with naval scenes engraved, All steel

frame, back strap, trigger guard etc. Handgrips still showing some original

finish, small chip to one grip. Mechanically sound. Serial number 8902xx. In

original leather holster.

B5 Pair French Cannon-barrel Percussion Pistols R 12500.00

The "Queen Anne" style cannon barrels show "Jni Lar Baucheron" and

"Pirmet a Paris". Turn-off barrels are 6" (152mm) long and of about 14mm

bore. Unusual to have mirror-image locks, to opposite sides the pistols. Guns

retain a fairly large amount of original finish. The butts well chequered and

finished with silver end caps showing a crown over the three fleur-de-lys of

France. Very patriotic!

B6 Pair of Trulock Percussion Pistols R 5000.00

"Coat" pistols. Round Damascus smoothbore barrels have lost much finish,

but on small top flat is engraved "Trulock Dublin" ; as are the small back

action locks on the right hand sides. Captive ramrods are fitted. The 4 1/2"

barrels are of about 5/8" (16mm) bore. Engraved locks, trigger-guards, finials

and hammers. Both in good condition.

B7 4-Barrel Percussion Pistol R 3750.00

No makers marks visible but very neatly put together. Elegant butt with two

blank escutcheons, well executed very fine chequering. Turnover style, right

hand hammer has lost its spur. The barrels about 3 1/4" long, about 3/8" or

10mm bore. Desirable. Good condition but for chipped hammer spur. Carries

what appear to be British proofs.

B8 Pair of Manton Percussion Pistols R 7500.00

The round flat-topped, smoothbore Damascus barrels are 5 1/2" long and of

about 5/8" (16mm) bore. Both bar side locks on the right. A rectangular

escutcheon engraved with "BSIL" . Pistols equipped with sprung belt hangers

on the left. A captive rammer is fitted. Horn fore-end tips. Chequered grips.

Barrels engraved "Manton London" and "Manton" engraving to locks.

Engraved trigger-guards & hammers. Second pistol has an professional

repair to the butt. Consecutively numbered pair. Not duellists, but a nice pair.

B9 I.Rea. Sen. London Percussion Pistol R 1950.00

Octagonal 10" long smooth bore Damascus barrel, tapering from 1" to just

over 3/4" across. Bore is about .72". The bar action lock works well.

Intercepting safety to lock. The woodwork showing a crack with some slight

loss of wood at the left front by the muzzle. Barrel "London" marked and

what appears to be "I.Rea Sen" to the lock . Reasonable to good condition.

B10 Osborne Percussion Pistol R 1950.00

Long barrelled, slightly tapering octagonal of about 7/8" average width. Bore

is about 1/2" and length is 9 3/4". Ramrod missing. Trigger guard with

pineapple finial. Butt showing some age with sundry dings, but chequering

well-executed. Intercepting safety to "Osborne" marked lock. Engraved

hammer, lock and finial. Good overall.

B11 Pair of Smith Percussion Pistols R 3250.00

Of about .75" bore, the octagonal Damascus barrels are just shy of 6" long,

both engraved "Smith London" . Locks are bar side locks, one working, the

other needing some attention. The smooth curved butt has a dark wood finish

with evidence or "tiger-striping" to the edges. Engraved hammers, locks, tang

& trigger guards. Possible reblue to the hammers, good overall. Much original

Damascus finish to barrels.

B12 Pair "Richards" Flintlock Pistols R 8500.00

With "Queen Anne" style cannon-barrelled round smoothbore barrels of 7

1/2" (190mm) long and 5/8" (16mm) bore. Both locks working well. Inlaid

engraved escutcheons and silver wire scrolling. On the left sides a silver

griffon, the butts finished with a gargoyle type face. Acorn finials to the

engraved trigger-guards. Small inlaid repair to butt of first pistol, more

substantial repairs to butt of 2nd pistol.

B13 Colt 1851 "Cap 'n Ball" Navy Model Revolver R 12500.00

Second generation Colt Serial no. 274xx 71/2" octagonal barrel, .36" calibre.

Naval scene engraving to cylinder. Smooth walnut grips. Colour case-

hardened frame. Silvered trigger guard and back-strap. All in mint condition.

B14 Wilkinson O/U Percussion Belt Pistol. R 3850.00

The fixed Damascus smoothbore barrels each with its own lock, neither of

which appear to be working properly. Both 5 1/2" long and about 1/2" bore.

marked to "Wilkinson London" . Intercepting safeties to locks. The finely

chequered butt in very good condition. A captive ram-rod fitted. Engraved

steel butt cap with extensive engraving to action & hammers. With some

attention, could be a fine piece.

B15 Nock O/U Percussion Pistol R 1950.00

An all-silvered coat or muff pistol. Turnover style by the well-known

gunmakers Nock. Action marked to "H.Nock London" . The 3" barrels are of

a heavily-rifled 3/8" across the lands. One nipple is broken and the finely-

chequered wooden butt is showing some wear. German silver butt-plate.

B16 O/U Percussion Pistol R 1450.00

A "no-namer" but the fluted style of the butt leans towards continental origin.

A stamping on the trigger-guard is indecipherable. Both locks work well. The

4" (100mm) rifled barrels are about 9mm across the lands. Good overall.

B17 Clare S/S Percussion Pistol R 2500.00

Both bar side locks are marked to "Clare" . The attractive smoothbore

Damascus barrels joined by solid ribbing. Of 8 1/4" (210mm) long and about

7/16" (12mm) bore. Captive ramrod. Engraved locks, hammers and butt cap.

Gun in excellent condition except for one broken-off hammer spur.

B18 Pair of Teschen Percussion Pistols R 6000.00

Back-action locks with set triggers, marked "Wissneker" on the right and

"Laurenz" on the left. The octagonal steel barrels of 244mm length have

deeply rifled bores of about 12mm across the lands. Marked "In Teschen" to

top of barrels. Double set triggers, hooked trigger-guards, extended steel

tangs to back of butts which each have provision for a shoulder stock. Steel

grip caps. Elegant and light and apart from a few slight dings to the

woodwork. In very good original condition.

B19 W. Mills Percussion Pistol R 3500.00

Top barrel flat shows "W. Mills ......Holborn London " with "W. Mills" on the

bar lock. The massive octagonal barrel is 1 1/16" across the flats, of 3/4" bore

and 6 1/4" long. A small silver escutcheon has "G W" under an eagle's head

crest. Captive ramrod. The woodwork shows a century of small dings. The

flat-top chequering to the butt is well executed. Engraved hammer, lock &

intercepting safety. Crisp lock. Good overall.

B20 .40 Ardesa Under hammer Target Pistol R 8500.00

Complete with flask, starter, Pedersoli mould & rod. Saw-handle grip, 9,5"

(242mm) barrel, windage adjustable rear sight. Excellent condition. Cased.

B21 Le Page Percussion Pistol R 5000.00

Made by Armi - Sport Italy. Octagonal 9 1/4" (235mm) barrel is rifled and

bore a fraction over 10mm in diameter. Handsome stock is fluted at the butt

in typical French style. VGC

B22 Hopkins and Allen Repro Pistol R 4500.00

Made by Numrich Arms. The underlever hammer powered by the spring

trigger guard - less is more! Just over 12" overall, the barrel is about 6"

(153mm) long and rifled. Appears to be unused.

Octagon to round 33,5" barrel, micro-adjustable foresight, adjustable peep

rear sight. Half stock with alloy butt plate & trigger guard. Excellent condition.

B25 .75cal Brown Bess Musket R 7500.00

Tower lock engraved "GR" under a crown. Big 34 1/2" barrel. Crack to stock

under the lock/breech. Attractive barring on the walnut, would make a great

wall-hanger.

B26 Pedersoli Gibbs Rifle R 14500.00

Heavy 35" long 1" diameter barrel of a glossy blue. Lock case-hardened.

Stock of good walnut with attractive figure, pistol grip cal and fore-arm tip of

black vulcanite. In manufacturer's box with diopter sight in another box.

Pristine condition.

B27 Semi-Bobbejaanboud R 5500.00

Tower lock stamped "Wollaston" , nipple is broken. Barrel is just over 1

metre long and tapering from 33mm at the lock to 24mm at the muzzle. Bore

is +/- 22mm. Big heavy gun, butt plate of brass as is trigger guard which has

a pineapple finial. Repaired crack to stock ahead of trigger guard. Fair to

good condition.

B28 Ewen Percussion Pistol R 1950.00

Octagonal 9" smoothbore barrel to full-stock. Steel pipes & trigger guard with

finial to guard. Flat sided grip with teardrops. "Ewen" marked lock plate.

Silver escutcheon to grip. Good original overall.

C1 German K98 Bayonet R 1250.00

For the Model 1898 Mauser. A 250mm (9 3/4") single edged blade with a

deep fuller. Scales are of a polymer. Blade stamped "J.Sch" . With its steel

scabbard. VGC.

C2 Pattern 1907 Hooked Quillion Bayonet R 7500.00

Said to have been copied from the Arisaka Model 1897. The hooked quillon

was soon dropped, thus these are very scarce. The 17" single edged blade in

very good condition. A "Crown over 1907" stamped on one side of the

ricasso, the other shows a broad arrow. The wooden scales only showing

one ding. Scabbard also in good shape.

C3 Steyr 1886 Bayonet R 1950.00

Yataghan style blade of 470mm (18 1/2") length with a wide fuller. Hilt

stamped with manufacturer's cartouche, like two "3"s joined back to back.

The wooden scales showing some wear. The metal scabbard in good shape

except for one ding. Good plus condition.

C4 Pattern 1907 Bayonet R 750.00

The modified version with the quillon removed. The 17" (432mm) single-

edged blade with a deep fuller. Wooden scale stamped "RSA" on one side

"SAP" on the other. In its metal scabbard complete with leather frog.

Excellent condition.

C5 Danish Krag M1915 Bayonet R 1500.00

A slim tapered single-edged blade, 17 3/4" (450mm) long. Wooden scales in

good shape. Leather scabbard showing its age somewhat and appears to

have shrunk enough for the retaining catch to not work. Good to good plus.

C6 German Seitengenwehr 1905 R 2750.00

For the Model 1898 rifles and carbines. Big wide saw-backed blade, 430mm

(16 7/8") long. The broad but shallow fuller flows into the saw-back. Blade

stamped "Crown over Erfurt" and crosspiece "E.B.134" The wooden

scales in good condition. The leather and steel scabbard also good condition.

C7 Fencing Foil R 850.00

Rounded hilt, with brass handle. Blade 30" with sharp point, usually these

have a built-in button. Good condition overall.

C8 Rodwell Sword Pattern 1853 R 3750.00

The Pattern 1853 sword was still being used by the Royal Horse Artillery in

the Boer War and many were lost at Colenso when the RHA guns were

taken. Sword is marked "Rodwell & Co." "ISD" with addorsed arrows to the

ricasso. It is also marked "NSBDA" to the hilt. In an issue leather scabbard.

All in good condition.

C9 German M1871 Dress Bayonet R 1950.00

The brass hilt has been used as a hammer, unadvisedly. Steel "S" shaped

hilt and the 490mm blade with etched decoration over 3/4 of its length.

Leather scabbard with brass fittings. VGC.

C10 M1931 Schmidt Rubin Bayonet R 1450.00

For the 1931 carbine and SIG AK53 assault rifle. The 300mm double-edged

blade stamped "Waffenfabriek Neuhausen" . Steel scabbard with

permanently attached leather belt strap. Excellent condition.

C11 Pattern 1888 .303 Bayonet R 1250.00

For the Lee-Metford rifle. The 300mm double-edged blade with various army

marks including a "Crown over V" . Apart from a hole drilled right through

the hilt, in very good shape. As is the leather and steel scabbard.

C12 Model 1866 Chassepot Bayonet R 1850.00

Cast brass hilt, spring to the right of the grip, steel cross guard with

adjustment screw to muzzle ring. Yataghan blade of 575mm, 30mm wide with

broad fullers. Good condition.

C13 Sappers & Miners Sword Bayonet R 2500.00

560mm fullered single-edged cutlass style blade with hand guard built into

the hilt. Much exposure has formed its own individual patina. The attempts to

mate sword to bayonet were many and varied.

C14 ZAR Mauser Bayonet R 7950.00

A label states "Rare - for Garrison Artillery ZAR" . For the 1893 Mauser. A

long (470mm) sabre blade, fullered, saw backed and stamped "Simson &

Co Suhl" . In its leather scabbard with brass top-mount and long chape.

VGC.

C15 P1853 ? Prussian Bayonet R 2950.00

Massive cast brass hilt incorporating a "S" shaped cross guard. Plain wide

(34mm) and long (425mm) blade with saw back. In leather scabbard with

brass furniture. VGC.

C16 M1878 Vetterli Bayonet R 1250.00

Long (478mm) sabre blade, saw backed, stamped "SIG Neuhausen" ;

fullered on right side only. In leather and steel scabbard with leather frog.

C17 Pattern 1876 Martini Henry Bayonet R 1650.00

Long triangular blade (552mm), fullered on all faces. In the style of the

Pattern 1853 but with a longer blade. In black leather scabbard with brass top-

mount and chape. VGC.

C18 Pattern 1859 Cutlass Bayonet R 3500.00

Long (650mm) plain single-edged sabre blade. Chequered black grips, plain

steel basket. With black leather scabbard, steel chape and top mount. Blade

appears to have been polished. VGC.

C19 Pattern 1853 Sword Bayonet R 1750.00

For the Enfield muzzle loader and Snider rifles. The 17 1/4" (440mm)

triangular blade slopes gradually below the horizontal. All 3 faces fullered.

With its leather and brass scabbard. The first British standard pattern bayonet

with a locking ring. Nearly 1.5 million were produced. Excellent condition.

C20 German M1871 Bayonet R 1950.00

Ricasso stamped "Gebr.Simson.Suhl" . Long 495mm fullered single-edged

24mm wide blade. Brass hilt with "S" shaped steel cross-guard. In leather

and brass scabbard. VGC.

C21 Italian "Special Truppi" Bayonet R 2950.00

A folding bayonet for the Beretta M1938A and 1939/41 submachine guns. To

unfold it, you must press firmly on the circular catch and at the same time,

pull on the blade. 210mm x 19mm blade is fullered and appears to be re-

blued. Both wooden scales showing fine cracks. Otherwise very good

condition.

C22 Bavarian M1859 Bayonet R 2500.00

Brass hilt with release catch. The steel cross guard with a swept-back quillon

and muzzle ring. The wide-fullered blade is 570mm long and 29mm wide.

With its steel scabbard. VGC.

C23 French M1874 Gras Bayonet R 1450.00

T-shaped blade of 520mm with "L.DENY PARIS 1881" in script to back of

blade. Brass pommel with wood grips secured by steel rivets. Strongly

forward curved quillion. Metal scabbard with loop & quillion tapering towards

the point. Good plus original condition.

Massive cast brass hilt with built-in cross guard, stamped "23", blade showing

"Paris" . Double edged blade of 480mm long and 41mm wide, liberally

speckled with treated rust spots. Good plus.

C25 Italian M1870 Bayonet Converted R 1450.00

German WW1 conversion of Italian Vetterli bayonet to fit 7,9mm Gew98 rifle.

Muzzle ring removed and pommel altered to fit M98 rifle. German unit

markings to cross guard. Composition grips with long leaf spring to R-H side

of grips. Length of blade 513mm. Leather scabbard with brass mounts &

leather frog. Good original condition.

steel scabbard with webbing frog. VGC.

Knife blade (130x30mm) with serrated blade with 35 teeth and an oval hole to

link with the steel scabbard to make a wire-cutter. Rounded black handle.

shot double-stack magazine in front of trigger guard. Checkered hard rubber

grips with "Simplex" on them are in perfect condition with no cracks or chips.

numbers to barrel, bolt & action." Spandau 1900 & Crown" plus "L.P. 638 &

UDF" indicating German Landes Polizei use. Slight gouge to stock

immediately behind barrel band and stock has been refreshed. Barrel has

seen better days but rifle is in good overall condition.

770mm 12 bore tubes are very clean and choked right-3/4 and left - Full. The

rifled barrel with crisp clear rifling. The side lock action engraved on the left

with a lion hunting buck and on the right with a pointer flushing pheasants.

Bottom, fences, trigger guard top tang and top lever similarly much engraved

with scrollwork. Cocking indicators for all three barrels in evidence. Pushing

the top-strap catch forward raises the rear sight out of the top-rib and selects

the front trigger as the rifle trigger. For the smoothbore tubes, there is a side-

safety a la W W Greener. Very nice figured walnut for stock and fore-arm,

both chequered to 24LPI. Stock with a restrained cheek piece and with an

inlet escutcheon towards the toe showing "ESJ" intertwined. LOP to front

trigger 14 1/8" (362mm), to the rear 13" (331mm).

The 24" (610mm) round tapered barrel has an excellent bore and is without

iron sights. A Nikko Stirling Gold Crown 3-9x32 scope is fitted. Standard

Browning bolt action with magazine floor release catch built into front of

trigger guard. Monte Carlo walnut stock with contrasting teardrop pistol-grip

cap. Good figure and colour. 22 LPI chequering to fore-arm and pistol grip

sides. Excellent overall condition.

Another "Safari De Luxe" model, the 25" (635mm) round tapered barrel has a

good bore, is fitted with single folding leaf rear sight and ramped front sight.

Over the action, which is a standard military M98 with a bent handle to clear

it, is a Weaver K2.5 60-C scope, with post and cross-hair. Magazine

floorplate has no release catch. A Monte Carlo stock of medium coloured

plain walnut with 22LPI chequering at the pistol grip and fore-arm sides.

Schnabel fore-arm tip. LOP to a dying ventilated recoil pad is 14 1/4"

(362mm). Comes with an ancient leather sling. VGC.

G32 .30/06 Brno ZKK Rifle R 8500.00

The 24" (610mm) round tapered barrel is fitted with a ramped front sight and

a single leaf standing rear sight. Bore is very good. Action fitted with a single

set trigger; magazine floor plate with a release catch in front of trigger guard.

Bridge mount and scope rings fitted. The Monte Carlo stock of straight-

grained plain walnut. Contrasting pistol cap and fore-arm tip with white-line

spacers. 20LPI chequering to pistol grip and fore-arm sides. With a Butler

Creek synthetic sling. LOP is 14 1/2" (368mm) to a black ventilated recoil pad

Looks just like a ZKK, but no name or calibre markings. The 24" (610mm)

round tapered barrel with a ZKK's profile, has a good bore and no iron sights.

A Lynx 3-9x44 scope is fitted. Standard action with single set trigger, mag

release catch, side safety. The stock of darkish straight-grained walnut is

chequered to 20 LPI on fore-arm and pistol grip sides. A soft leather sling is

fitted. An attractive rifle. VGC.

G34 .30/06 Sako Model 85M Rifle R 16500.00

The 22 3/8" (568mm) round tapered barrel with an excellent bore has no

sights fitted. The stock of very good walnut, nice colour, plenty of figure. A

slight Monte bump to the comb at the well executed cheek piece. Recoil

cross bolts both fore and aft of the action. Chequering to 24LPI to pistol grip

sides over a slight palm swell on the RHS and also to the fore-arm.

Contrasting rosewood PG cap has a "Sako" logo inset. Really excellent

condition.

G35 .300 H&H Mag Custom Rifle R 14500.00

The 26" (661mm) heavy barrel tapers from 1 3/16P (30mm) at the breech to

3/4" (19mm) at the muzzle which is threaded for a 2 3/8" (60mm) long multi-

vented muzzle brake. No iron sights but scope base blocks fitted. The bore is

good. A BSA sporting P-14 Enfield action used. The broad stock with a

thumbhole is of plain straight-grained walnut chequered to 22LPI at the pistol

grip sides and a wrap-around multi-point pattern on the fore-arm. Contrasting

fore-arm tip and pistol grip cap. LOP to a black sorbothane recoil pad is 13

5/8" (346mm). Very good condition but heavy at 4kg (10lbs).

G36 8x68mm Sauer Model 90 Rifle R 22500.00

The 26" (661mm) round tapered barrel fitted with ramp front sight and single

standing leaf rear sight. The bore is good. Action and barrel a deep very

glossy blue. The attractive walnut stock chequered to 24LPI on 3 panels at

the fore-arm and on the pistol grip sides over the palm swell on the RHS.

Contrasting fore-arm tip and pistol grip cap, the latter with a company logo

inset. The comb and cheek piece a typically Teutonic shape. VGC.

The 26" (661mm) round tapered barrel with ramped front sight and single leaf

standing rear sight, with a very good bore. The Titan? action, marked

"EA008L" on the RHS is fitted with scope bases and detachable magazine

with unique release catches. The medium walnut stock with skipline

chequering and a schnabel. The cheek piece quite restrained. VGC.

The 25" (635mm) tapered round barrel has no front sight fitted, rear peep

sight still there, bore is excellent. Recoil-reducing muzzle brake fitted. Walnut

stock straight-grained, chipping to edge of cheek piece. 20 LPI chequering to

fore-arm and pistol grip sides. LOP from single-set trigger to thick black

sorbothane recoil pad is 15" (381mm). Otherwise excellent condition.

Model "Yeoman" with 28" (711mm) tubes, fixed chokes 1/2 to the right and

full to the left, bores are very good. Non-ejector double trigger box lock with

colour case-hardened action. The walnut stock with hand-cut flat-top

chequering at 20 LPI. The fore-arm of the American hand-filling type. Good to

good plus condition.

G58 12ga Vohrenbach S/S Shotgun R 6000.00

A side-by-side gun with 700mm (27 1/2") tubes choked a tight 1/4 on the right

and full on the left. Bores are excellent. The side lock ejector action with

typical German floral engraving, locks up tight to the barrels. Fore-arm with

an Anson push-rod catch. Barrels and trigger-guard have been re-blued.

Incorrectly timed ejectors. The straight-hand stock walnut of good colour and

straight-grained. 20LPI flat-topped chequering to the fore-arm and hand.

G59 12ga Brno S/S Shotgun R 5500.00

Standard 720mm (28 3/8") fixed choke; barrels are choked 3/4 on the right

and full on the left. The bores are very good. The double trigger side lock non-

ejector action plain blued. Fore-arm with an Anson push-rod catch. The

walnut is plain and hand chequered to about 20 LPI. The fore-arm has been

re-cut. Apart from some minor dings and scratches to the straight-hand stock

the gun is in very good condition. LOPs to front trigger is 15", to the rear 14".

A sporting model with a 25 3/4" (654mm) capped with a screw-on choke

device, Bore is clean. 4 shot magazine. Tang safety catch and vestigal slide

plus condition.

The "Featherlight". 28" barrel with raised ventilated top-rib. Choked 1/2. Bore

is very good. Action with roller-engraved game scenes on each side. Stock

A model A302 with roller engraving to the action sides. The 26" (660mm)

barrel is choked Full and bore is excellent. The front sight has lost its high-viz

insert. The slide does not lock back on an empty action. Walnut stock and

fore-arm are excellent with a 22LPI wrap-around pattern to the fore-arm and

panels on the pistol grip sides. Apart from the slide, excellent condition.

G66 12ga Beretta A300 Semiauto Shotgun R 4500.00

With a 26" (660mm) 3/4 choked barrel, excellent bore, and high-viz front

sight. Gun is in an immaculate condition apart from one tiny ding on the fore-

arm which is easily steamed out. The walnut with figure, the semi-rounded

pistol grip, all work, especially the lack of chequering! LOP is 14" (365mm).

Another of the marque, this with a 700mm (27 1/2") barrel choked 3/4. Bore

is excellent. This one with a few more little dings to the woodwork, and lost its

high-viz insert to the front sight, but equally desirable. 14" LOP. VGC.

A raised ventilated top-rib over a 70mm (27 1/2") barrel. Full choked with an

excellent bore. The walnut fore-arm and butt have impressed "chequering"

The first of a trio of guns. The well known Savage .22/.410 combo. 24"

(660mm) Barrels are both with good bores, Apart from some small rust spots

and a trigger guard having completely lost its finish, in very good shape. The

The second example has both bores equally as good, but sports a polymer

fore-arm and butt. These with built-in fancy panels of "chequering". Otherwise

in very good working order.

The last has walnut furniture with some figure to it. The butt-plate needs

replacement. This gun actually showing the Model 24 designation on the

action RHS. Both bores equally as good as the others. The action has taken

on a strange hue probably due to some error in bluing solution make-up.

The following Terms and Conditions as amended by any postal notice or verbal announcement during the sale, constitutes the entire terms and conditions under which the property listed in this catalogue, is offered for sale by Classic Arms and any consignor for the said property that we act for. 1) As used herein, the “bid price” shall mean the price at which a lot is knocked down by the auctioneer, to a purchaser and the term “purchase price” shall mean the aggregate of: a) The bid price, b) A PREMIUM PAYABLE BY THE PURCHASER OF 12,5% OF THE BID PRICE, + VAT at 14% thereon (i.e. a total premium of 14.25%) c) And where specifically stated by the auctioneer VAT at 14% of the bid price. 2. On the fall of the Hammer the highest bidder will have been deemed to have purchased the lot being offered and to have: a) assumed full responsibility and liability for the ownership of that lot in accordance with the terms and conditions contained herein b) to undertake to settle the aggregate purchase price within a maximum of seven calendar days from the date of sale. In the case of all firearms it is specifically recorded that the purchaser is deemed to have assumed full liability for ownership and payment in accordance with the terms and conditions contained herein irrespective of the granting or not of a South African Police Services licence or permit for possession of the said lot. All lots requiring licences shall be retained by Classic Arms pending proof of issuance of said licences. Should a licence for any lot, for any reason whatsoever, be declined, then the purchaser may require Classic Arms or a registered arms and ammunition dealer of the purchasers choice to resell such lot on the purchasers behalf. Such sale shall be conducted against the prevailing terms and conditions of the chosen dealer at time of resale and, irrespective of the Auction purchase price, at the price determined in agreement with the auction purchaser and the dealer. It is specifically noted that Classic Arms may in no way be held liable for a shortfall if any, between the auction purchase price and the resale price. Under no circumstances shall any lot requiring SAPS licensing be released to any person or body not duly authorised to be in legal possession of said lot, and unless all monies due have been settled in full and in accordance with the terms and conditions contained herein. No lots shall be deemed to have been paid for until all monies due have been delivered in cash or in Bank Cleared funds. All purchases may be paid for in cash, by Master Card or VISA, American Express or Diners Club International, or by cashiers. or Bank Guaranteed Cheque. A further premium of 5% of the aggregate purchase price including VAT thereon will be levied for all Credit or Charge Card settlements. No cashier’s cheque will be deemed to constitute payment until the effects thereof have been cleared into the Classic Arms Trust Account. If the foregoing or any other conditions contained herein are not complied with by the purchaser, in addition to any other remedies available to us and the consignor by law, including but without limitation to, the right to hold the purchaser liable for the purchase price, then we at our sole discretion may: a) cancel the sale, retaining as liquidation costs any amounts paid by the purchaser, b) resell the property.

3. All payments to be made within 7 days. Property sold at auction and not paid for in full or collected, within 4 (Four) elapsed Months from the date of the auction, shall be deemed to be abandoned UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTIFIED. The auctioneer reserves the right to dispose of the property in any manner he sees fit and recover reasonable administration and/or storage costs from the disposal of said property and/or the purchaser.

No subsequent claim arising from such a disposal shall be entertained and the auctioneer may not be held liable for any losses incurred by either the consignor or purchaser, or any other party, in this regard either publicly or privately and in such event to hold the purchaser liable for all costs including our commission and expenses for both sales, all other charges due hereunder, our attorneys fees and incidental charges. All fees commissions, bid prices and duties not settled promptly by the purchaser in terms of this clause 2 shall bear interest at South African Bankers prime lending rate plus 3 percent from the seventh day following the sale until settlement is received in full. Unless actually stated by the auctioneer, all lots shall be offered against their catalogued number and no lot shall be divided for sale.

5. We reserve the right to reject any bid. The highest bid acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be deemed to be the final bid price. In the event of any dispute between bidders or, if in the sole opinion of the auctioneer he doubts the validity of a bid, the auctioneer shall have the sole right to determine the successful bid or to re-offer the property in dispute for sale. Our sale records shall be conclusive in any dispute during or after conclusion of the sale.

If for any reason beyond our control, including but not limited to, fire, theft, acts of God, or insurrection, we are prevented from delivering the property to the purchaser, then we will be liable only for the sum actually paid therefore by the purchaser and shall in no event include payment for consequential or incidental damages. Classic Arms accepts no liability for any losses of whatsoever nature caused by any legislative changes in regard to the possession, by individuals or bodies, of firearms or ammunition.

If a lot is offered subject to a reserve (this being the confidential minimum price required by the consignor) then Classic Arms reserves the right to open the bidding or to bid on the consignor’s behalf in order to protect such reserve. Classic Arms shall not bid on the consignor’s behalf above such reserve. IN NO EVENT MAY A CONSIGNOR BID ON ANY PROPERTY OFFERED FOR SALE BY SAID CONSIGNOR. 8. All lots are sold “Voetstoets”. Such carriers or packers may carry there own insurance and any claims for loss or damage should be addressed directly to them.

10. These Conditions of Sale and the respective rights of the purchaser and Classic Arms, are governed by the laws of South Africa. By bidding at an auction in person, or by agent, order-bid or telephone or other means, the buyer or bidder agrees to be bound by these Conditions of Sale. Any dispute controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement, or the breach, termination or validity thereof, brought by or against Classic Arms (but not including claims brought against the consignor by the purchaser of the lots consigned hereunder) shall be resolved by the parties in 10. These Conditions of Sale, shall bind the successors and assigns of all bidders and purchasers and inure to the benefit of successors and assigns. 11. Absentee Bids. As a service to those bidders that are unable to attend the actual auction, we may at our sole discretion accept bids in advance of sale by telephone, or in writing on the bidding forms provided in the back of the sale catalogue.
