ROWAN, DianeThe family of Diane Lynne Rowan (Maw) regretfully announce he r sudden passing.D i a n e Ly n n e R o w a n (Maw), age 67, passed away suddenly on June 10, 2015. Diane was born August 9, 1947 in Elkhorn, Manitoba. She was the youngest of three daughters of Alex and Ella Maw.
On May 29, 1967, she married Darwin Rowan, and farmed west of Elkhorn. They have two children, Keith and Dana. Diane and Darwin just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.Diane was pre-deceased by her mother and father, sisters Carol Moran and Margie Cole, and infant nephew Cory. She bravely struggled with heart issues most of her adult life.Diane was a fi ercely protective, devoted mom and a loving, caring grandma. Her main goal in life was to see her children grow up and then luckily to see her grandchildren. She succeeded.
When her children had grown, Diane completed her GED and achieved her Health Care Aide course. She worked approximately 27 years at the Elkwood Manor as a Nurse’s Aide and eventually moved into housekeeping. She made lasting friendships and many memories during that time. She retired six years ago and kept busy visiting with her children and grandchildren plus sitting outside with Darwin on their deck swinging. She enjoyed her early morning coffee at the Elkhorn Creamee with her coffee group, and she equally enjoyed dashing off to get her hair and nails done every week. Diane enjoyed decorating her home in sparkly crystals and red accessories. Her home was one where you came to visit and you would have a coffee and were guaranteed something to eat. Many enjoyed meals around her table. She is dearly missed.Mourning her loss is her husband Darwin, son Keith (Leslie) of Grand Forks, ND; daughter Dana (Kent) Topliss of Regina, SK and four grandchildren, Benjamin and Luke Rowan, and Kurtis and Loren Topliss; brothers-in-law Bill Rowan of Winnipeg, MB, Lyle Rowan (Diane Rookes) of Elkhorn, MB, Jim Cole of Lloydminster, AB; and sister-in-law Dorothy (Gerry) Gow of Beulah, MB plus many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Also to mourn her loss is her special friend Kim Drake of Elkhorn. Funeral service will take place at Trinity United Church in Elkhorn, July 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Longtime family friend Lorraine Scott will be offi ciating.

Remembered with love, your son Skyler Hansen, parents Corinne and Bob Nesbitt, brothers Jim Perrin (Barb), Danny Perrin, sister Cindy (Leo), a large extended family and many friends.
Your memory is our keepsake with which we will never part. God has you in His keeping, we have you in our hearts.A million times we’ve wanted you. A million times we cried. If love could only have saved you, you never would have died. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone, for a part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
