Principal’s Message Dear Families, Parents and Friends,
Welcome Back, we missed you!!
On behalf of our entire staff we would like to welcome our students and families back for the
2018/2019 school year. I am Ms. Bracko, your principal and I am thrilled to welcome you and
am looking forward to meeting new faces, revisiting with familiar ones, as well as hearing all
about your summer adventures. We are again committed to student success in the coming year
and to building a positive culture focused on relationships and collaboration. Our families are
our backbone of the community and we will continue to foster communication to better the
experiences students have at Derek Taylor. As excited as I am to offer this principal’s message
in our newsletter, it is the face-to-face interactions that I value most. Please know that we have
an open-door policy and welcome any opportunity to meet with you. We are looking forward
to providing a safe and nurturing environment as well as a challenging and diverse learning ex-
perience for our students.
This will be a FANTASTIC year!!
Sincerely,
Shelly Bracko
