HOLY SPIRITS SOCIETY A faithful friend is a sturdy shelter: He that has found one has found a treasure. - Sirach 6:14
Everyone is welcome! Finding Catholic friends can be tough. The Holy Spirits Society is an opportunity for Catholics 19 years and older to meet new people and pursue authentic friendships. We meet twice a month; on the second and fourth Fridays at different pubs/restaurants in the Orangeville area, to share a drink and conversation with other members of our church, in a safe, enjoyable, environment.
The next meeting takes place at 7:30pm on Friday October 11th at The Edge Restaurant & Bar
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Custodian and Maintenance Person
The parish is seeking a modified full time (28 hours per week) Custodian and Maintenance Person to be responsible for the custodial tasks, maintenance and managing of the property of the church and rectory. A copy of the job description may be found on the parish website or at the Parish Office. Applicants are invited to submit their resume to Fr. Calleja at: [email protected] no later than Friday November 1st, 2019. We thank all applicants, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. A criminal Record Check will be required of the successful applicant. PARISH FUNDRAISING MINISTRY
We are starting a new ministry that will be responsible for fundraising, to support the much-needed church repairs. Like our homes we need to make sure that our place of worship is cared for, maintained and improved, so that it is accessible, safe and secure for our faith community. If you enjoy developing and coordinating events, are organized, enthusiastic, and motivated please share your talent. If you would like to volunteer or find out more about this ministry, please speak to Fr Calleja or contact Lenore at the parish office.
Motorists are talking! Parishioners parking in the rectory parking lot, please take the time to look both ways before crossing the street!
Today is the Annual Life Chain demonstration which will be held at the corner of Broadway and C-Line from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Let us stand together in support of the sanctity of life and for the protection of the unborn.
