Clay with Mrs Mallows

Today we made Vincent Van

Gogh inspired clay tiles. We

began our lesson by rolling

out clay into a large

rectangle. We had to

remember to use 2 rulers in

an H shape to keep the clay

the same thickness all the

way across.

After that, we rolled out a

long thin worm of clay

which we made into a

stem. We then created

some additional worm

pieces which we shaped

into petals. We had to use

silt (watered down clay) to

stick the clay pieces onto

the rectangle tile!
