Two Minute Zone - 'Kiss N Go' The Kiss N Go operates as a safe place to drop off children and pick them up from school between 8.30-9.30am and 3.00-4.00pm on school days. The 'Kiss N Go' zones - on Narrumburn Road are a place where parents can quickly drop off and collect their children WITHIN A 2 MINUTE TIME FRAME. These are NOT parking areas, you are not allowed to leave your car and go into school or to the school gates. You must stay within 3 metres of your car. If you need to walk your child into school or to the school gates you

must park further down the road near Clayton South Kindergarten, in a legal parking area (and not over driveways). Be considerate and do not overstay your time in the 'Kiss N Go' zones. If your child is not there at the end of the day within 2 minutes, drive off and re-join the queue. These zones are for the convenience of our whole school population - please think of others when you use these zones. Please also observe the yellow line where no parking is permitted. This is so school students can cross at the school crossing safely.

The move from Primary to Secondary School is a major milestone for your child. It's a time of big changes in their development, education and life. We are committed to

ensuring we are giving our students the education that industries will need, and the skills that employers will expect them to have.

Secondary Schools work with us to make transition

easier. A school's transition program includes:

student talks by past students at their old primary

    school

secondary school teachers' talks or introductory

    lessons at primary schools

Year 6 visits to secondary schools

Buddy systems at secondary schools, teaming older

    and younger students.

As part of the transition from Year 6 to Year 7, students in government secondary schools participate in an Orientation Day. All government schools hold this Orientation

Day on the same day which is in December. On this day the Year 6 students spend the day at their chosen Secondary School. All Year 6 students will very shortly receive their

    placement confirmation letter.
