Directions: With US #15 needles and color A, cast on 31 stitches. Begin 2-row woven stitch: Row 1 (RS): Slip one knitwise, slip one purlwise, *skip the next stitch and knit into the back loop of the following stitch but leave it on the needle, then return to the skipped stitch and knit it through the front loop, then slide both stitches worked onto right nee-dle* repeat from * to * across row to last stitch, then knit the last stitch through the back loop.

Row 2 (WS): Slip first two stitches purlwise, *skip the first stitch, purl the second stitch but leave it on the needle, then purl the skipped stitch, then slide both stitches to the right needle* repeat from * to * to last stitch, then purl the last stitch.
Repeat these 2 rows until almost out of Color A. Starting at the beginning of a Row 1, continue in pattern using Color B. When almost out of yarn, bind off. Lightly steam block to smooth edges. Sew cast-on edge to bind-off edge, using mat-tress stitch, to form cowl. Each time you wear it, think of all of the people who now have clean water thanks to charity: water :)
