On behalf of the Delegation, thank you for supporting the inaugural Women of Color in Blockchain Congressional Briefing. We embarked on this journey to ensure Members of Congress hear from the inclusive voices within the crypto community who are calling for federal regulatory clarity.

It was important for our Delegation to include industry leaders who are professionally, geographically and culturally diverse to illustrate our collective force and influence. Women of color play a critical role in the crypto ecosystem, building blockchain products and services to solve society’s most pressing problems.

In April Dawn became the first Black founder in the world to raise over $1M in a secure token offering (STO) under the Title III of the JOBS Act. She is a champion for the utilization of blockchain in retail, specifically for regulated products that rely on secure customer data.

Shailee Adinolfi, Director of Government Solutions, ConsenSys Shailee has 20 years of experience at the intersection of technology, international development and financial services. She is Director of Business Development and Advisory for Public Sector solutions at ConsenSys, the largest blockchain company globally.

Sarah Alexis, CEO, Shop SXA Sarah owns an e-commerce retail business that accepts cryptocurrency. A millennial and social media influencer, she is leveraging new technologies to grow her consumer base of celebrities, wealthy shoppers, and major retailers.

Barbara Bickham, Women’s Innovation Fund Accelerator Women’s Innovation Fund Accelerator, an opportunity zone venture fund, growing and scaling emerging tech companies by using a mix of acceleration, co-working and sustainability while requiring companies to have a gender-balanced C-suite.

Stephanie Perez, Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships, R3 Stephanie is responsible for establishing and managing relationships with large system integrators and strategy consultancies across numerous industries at R3. Previously, she held corporate development and strategy roles at Verifone and MasterCard. She serves on the board of the Harvard in Technology alumni organization.

Tavonia Evans, Founder, Guap Coin Tavonia is the founder of Guap Coin is a decentralized community & diaspora cryptocurrency and the Kowrii Exchange. Keo Frazier, Blockchain Auditor, Brand Experience Strategist Keo is a proven two-time entrepreneur, strategic thinker, doer, with an innovative mindset. She focuses on Brand Strategy through her company KEOS Marketing Consultancy.

Elena Sofia Giralt, Product Marketing, Electric Coin Company Elena heads product marketing at Electric Coin Company, which supports the development of Zcash, one of the most respected privacy-protecting, digital currencies. Dianne Jarvis-Lumsden, Operations, Coinbase Dianne has over 20 years of experience in Information Technology. Dianne focuses her energy in bringing awareness of the power of blockchain and cryptocurrency. Her goal is to empower those with little access to technology, specifically people of color.

Jalak Jobanputra, Founding Partner, Future Perfect Ventures Jalak has been a venture capital investor since 1999 investing at the forefront of new technologies. She was the first female institutional investor in the blockchain sector, with a specific thesis on how the technology can provide broader access to financial services, education, labor markets and healthcare.

Karen Hsu, CEO, BlockchainIntel Karen has over 20 years of experience in technology companies, Karen was previously Chief Revenue Officer at BlockCypher and has worked closely with standards organizations such as SWIFT, NACHA and ACORD. Karen also co-founded Blockchain by Women to educate and encourage women in blockchain technology.

Saba Kifle, Founder, Greenwood, Archer, Pine Saba is the founder of Greenwood, Archer and Pine, LLC, focusing on blockchain-based solutions for government, and solutions to address the tech talent inclusion gap in the emerging technology space. Saba has worked with partners such as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Department of Labor (DOL), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Cleve Mesidor, Founder, LOGOS Cleve is publisher of Blockchain Buzz. Previously she worked on Capitol Hill and served as an Obama Presidential Appointee. She is on the Advisory Board of Value Technology Foundation and BlockShop. She curates a quarterly Blockchain Who’s Who list. (Briefing co-host)

Lisa Turner, Chapter Lead, OH Government Blockchain Association Lisa specializes in developing strategies around the use, implementation, and adoption of Blockchain solutions. She currently leads the Columbus Chapter of the Government Blockchain Association (GBA), an international professional organization is committed to promoting blockchain technologies.

Jasmine Shergill, Director of Regulatory Affairs, eToro Jasmine is the Director of Regulatory Affairs at eToro USA, a multi-asset social trading platform. Prior to joining eToro, Jasmine was Regulatory Counsel for Betterment, an online robo-advisor, and a Senior Attorney in FINRA's Department of Enforcement.

Ruby Sekhon, Chief Compliance Officer, Polychain Capital Ruby is responsible for Polychain Capital's legal and compliance operations. Prior to joining Polychain, Ruby has held leadership positions at Valiant Capital Management LP, Patriarch Partners, Orbis Investment Management and GoldenTree Asset Management LP in New York.

Manasi Vora, Head of Product Strategy, Sia Manasi is the Head of Product Strategy at Sia where she focuses on decentralized cloud storage products and data privacy for users. She founded WiB Boston with a mission to increase gender diversity in the blockchain industry.

Silvana Rodriguez, Director for Strategic Partnerships, ConsenSys Silvana spent 12 years as a U.S. diplomat with the State Department focusing on public-private partnerships exploring blockchain prior to joining ConsenSys. Silvana’s past assignments include placements at U.S. Embassies in Colombia, Madagascar, and Argentina and in Washington D.C. in the Office of Russian Affairs.

Lindsay Nuon, Founder and CEO, EmpirEqual Lindsay began her career in STEM in the US military. She has over 15 years of professional experience in the Tech sector consulting, providing training and mentorship, leading Cybersecurity and InfoSec Strategy and Policy, and bringing together federal, public and private sector stakeholders. Lindsay is also the founder of Women of Color in Blockchain.

Congresswoman Grace Meng, NY is serving her fourth term in the United States House of Representatives. Grace represents the Sixth Congressional District of New York encompassing the New York City borough of Queens, including west, central and northeast Queens. Grace is a member of the powerful House Appropriations Committee and its Subcommittees on State and Foreign Operations, Homeland Security, and Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies. She also serves on the House Ethics Committee.

Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett, VI represents the United States Virgin Islands’ at-large Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. Stacey currently serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the House Committee on Agriculture. She is also a member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, where she serves as Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on the Interior, Energy, and Environment.

Congressman Darren Soto, FL represents the 9th District of Florida in Congress which includes all of Osceola and parts of Orange and Polk Counties. The first Floridian of Puerto Rican descent to serve in Congress, Darren is proud to represent all the diverse people of the 9th District. Soto serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee as well as the Committee on Natural Resources. Soto is co-chair of the Congressional Blockchain Caucus and has co-sponsored several bills related to crypto and blockchain regulation.

Congressman Warren Davidson, OH represents the 8th District of Ohio. In Congress, Warren serves on the prestigious Financial Services Committee, where he is focused on policies that promote economic growth. Warren’s other priorities in Congress include fixing the VA, defending the constitution, and making sure the political elites don’t bankrupt America. Davidson is part of the Congressional Blockchain Caucus and has co-sponsored several bills related to crypto and blockchain regulation.
