Living in the Word ̶ As we move forward in response to the call of our Holy Father to conversion by hearing and doing God's Word, let us not fail to look to the example of Our Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary, and invoke her in- tercession. The perfect disciple, her heart was fully open to the Word of God and enrely recepve to its transfor- maon of her life. Her response to God, born of complete and unfailing trust in the providence and wisdom of God, inspires and shapes our own: "Be it done unto me according to thy Word." (Luke 1:38) By the help of her maternal prayers, may her response be ours as we hear Jesus speak to us in Sacred Scripture and strive, with the aid of his grace, to put that Word into pracce. Living in the Word ̶ As we move forward in response to the call of our Holy Father to conversion by hearing and

doing God's Word, let us not fail to look to the example of Our Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary, and invoke her in-tercession. The perfect disciple, her heart was fully open to the Word of God and entirely receptive to its transfor-mation of her life. Her response to God, born of complete and unfailing trust in the providence and wisdom of God, inspires and shapes our own: "Be it done unto me according to thy Word." Dear brethren,

In today's Gospel passage three times Jesus reassures us saying: "Do not be afraid, you are worth!"

How beautiful this expression is! If God cares for the sparrows, surely He will care for us His chil-

dren. Yes, we are worth because of God. Each one of is worth more, more than many sparrows, more

than all the flowers of the field, more than each one dares to hope for. Let us, therefore, thank God

our Heavenly Father.

Let me take this chance to wish all Dads a very Happy Father's Day ! God bless them all!

Fr Saga. Pastor.

DID YOU KNOW...our altar has a relic embedded in a piece of

marble located in the middle of the top of the altar. We acquired

it from a decommissioned church in the Archdiocese of

Edmonton. The relic is of St. Zephyrinus who was a Roman and

was Pope from 199 to 217 AD. He is attributed with two decrees

– one for declaring lapsed Christians may be forgiven of their sin

after due penance and the other stipulating that the age of first

communion should be no less than 14 years.
