A message from our Founder…

An agency is here to make the lives of its clients and contractors easier,

removing obstacles and anticipating problems to ensure the right people are

put into a position to deliver exceptional results.

Attention to detail and being able to uphold certain values is essential. We’re

here to facilitate and foster relationships, not to pit sides against each other.

Freelancers have played and will continue to play a vital part in the offshore

industry, and a high level of harmony between clients and contractors should

be the status quo not the exception.

Precise Consultants, established in 2013, is a London based agency providing experienced personnel to the

offshore industry covering Survey, ROV and Inspection operations.

The offshore industry is a truly global one, operating in all corners of the world in at times harsh conditions

which makes it a career unlike many others. Precise Consultants' origins come from the offshore industry as

one of the co-founders worked for almost a decade in that environment. This experience means we

understand there are subtle but hugely important differences within the offshore industry which make it

crucial to have the right personnel.

With dedicated account managers we develop an in-depth appreciation of each client's personal requirements

and abilities. This allows us to create individual tailored services, because we believe establishing long term

and mutually beneficial relationships with our clients and personnel is the key to delivering the best results.

Supplying personnel globally is incredibly complicated - made even more so by constantly changing global

taxation legislation. Therefore as an agency our processes are built around tax compliance.

Precise Consultants was co-founded by Adam Sumner, a qualified Chartered Accountant (Deloitte), who runs

our finance and compliance department. His expertise ensures we stay up to date with developments and

inform all parties in the supply chain of their obligations to local and domestic taxation.

Compliance takes many forms and insurance is a close second to taxation. We feel it is a temptation for

agencies, small, medium and large alike, to contractually pass this responsibility down the chain to the

freelancers they supply. However this is not a route we take or advocate, and we have full industry insurances

in place for all our personnel (please see our insurance circular for more detail along with our insurance

certificates). Compliant to the ISO 9001 standard, it ensures we have robust processes in place so the services

offered to our clients and contractors do not vary in their quality.

From large scale construction projects to smaller bathymetric surveys, the scale may be different but the

importance of completing these to a high standard remains the same. At Precise Consultants, we hold

ourselves to the same high standards as our clients and contractors. We believe that in this industry having a

reputation for working safely and accurately whilst holding on to a commercial mind set is essential to success.

We make the effort to understand the needs of our clients and contractors so we ensure that when we offer

a solution in terms of the right personnel for the role, we help ensure the success of your operations.

The success of any company is down to the performance of its personnel resource. Our ethos at

Precise Consultants is to find the best candidates in the market for every client we work with. We

understand that the best candidate for one client may be different for another. The “best candidate”

for a large organisation may not be the best for a small organisation. Candidates have different key

skills and all organisations have different company values, beliefs and aspirations. Piecing the two

parts together successfully is what makes a recruitment company stand out in the market and this

only happens by truly understanding the needs of the client.

We pride ourselves on the ability to listen and then execute with excellence. A role profile is so much

more than just a job specification. Any individual entering a new company will have an effect on the

company's performance, culture, atmosphere and ethos.

At Precise Consultants our professional consultants combine the use of our own bespoke database

with more traditional networking and headhunting methods to ensure success with the diverse range

of mandates we take on.

Our group recognises the importance of knowing our clients' culture as well as understanding their

requirements. We do not provide a generic solution but tailor our approach to the specifications of

the client and its business model.

We believe that at all stages we must communicate clearly, directly and honestly with our clients.

Standing by such philosophies, we at Precise Consultants have built, and continue to build, excellent

long term relationships with our clients and see ourselves as not just a service but a real partnership.

Precise Consultants partner with clients to provide a superior recruitment solution, offering every

client the opportunity to select from a combination of services that will help you meet your specific

goal. Working with our team containing both Account Management and Delivery Consultants, you can

completely tailor your own solution. If you are looking to hire the best candidate in the market for

your team please don’t hesitate to contact one of our experienced consultants.

Precise Consultants offers fast and efficient recruitment solutions including:

• Permanent recruitment

• Master Vendor Solutions

• Contract staff

• Managed employment services

• Payroll services

• Job specifications

• Personality Profiling

• Candidate screening

• Interviewing

• Arrangement of international travel, visas and documentation

• 24/7 emergency support

• Comprehensive insurance, including 24 hour medical assistance

Executive Search & Selection

Precise Consultants operates a bespoke search and selection service for our clients. We work globally,

aiming to secure high calibre senior candidates to satisfy your unique whole business or divisional

requirements.

When asked to provide this service we arrange for a Director and one or more relevant Divisional

Heads to meet with you and discuss in detail the mandate of the role and the desired candidate profile

from both a business and cultural perspective.

We then agree the terms of the retained assignment and allocate our search team and consultants

to producing a shortlist of individuals for interview and then selection.

Precise Consultants' Search team has a strong track record in identifying and delivering candidates

to complete both retained and contingent assignments across all areas of Surveying and Inspection.

The team have established comprehensive market ‘maps’, enabling us to reach candidates who are

not actively on the market, and prove particularly effective for niche or high demand skill sets or

senior vacancies.

Contingent Search

Precise Consultants undertake contingency searches for clients in which we source, qualify and

present a tailored selection of candidates required by the client.

This service includes research into a potential employee’s personality type, full background checks,

and verification of references, experience, as well as claimed and appropriate education.

This enables up-front costs to be kept to a minimum, whilst still ensuring desired time scales are

adhered to.

To ensure we reach the best candidates, we would utilise:

• Extensive on and off line advertising

• Search team facility

• Candidate referrals and market networking

Annual Retained Search

We also undertake Annual Retained Searches, whereby we design and execute a campaign to cater

exactly for client requirements over a determined period of time.

This service is provided where a client has numerous on going mandates to complete and requires a

dedicated team of consultants and an account manager to ensure success throughout this time.

A significant amount of time will be required to profile and identify the correct candidates, and an

annual retained service enables us to deploy all necessary resources to place the right individuals

within the chosen timelines.

Contractors/Freelancers

Precise Consultants has a dedicated contracts function, structured to meet the needs of our clients

worldwide. Utilising contract resource provides flexibility to businesses at times of growth and

change, enabling efficient delivery of projects and a solution to temporary hiring challenges.

Benefits of using contract resource are:

• Flexible workforce on demand

• Immediate productivity from day one

• A breadth of experience relevant to your business

At Precise Consultants we are renowned for our ability to quickly source highly specialist talent for

our clients across the globe. Central to the contracts function is our dedicated compliance team, who

ensure every contractor is legally compliant in the appropriate jurisdictions.

Other specialities include

• Recruitment Advertising

• Technical Skill Evaluation

• International Recruitment

Master Vendor

In businesses today ’preferred supplier list’ models in companies are now seeing the benefits of

harmonising their staffing requirements with a single recruitment company managing the entire

process. In general this would include supplier management, advertising, payroll, reporting, and

invoicing responsibilities.

The Precise Consultants’ Master Vendor Solution delivers a number of valuable features:

• Tailored management information

• Agreed service levels and response times

• Consolidated Invoicing/Electronic Timesheets

• Systemised authorisation and broadcast of vacancies

• Single point of contact for all agency recruitment

• Greater consistency in service and staff quality

• Significant cost savings through discounted fixed rates

Before opting for a master vendor agreement we would ask you to consider the following:

• How much am I spending on permanent recruitment?

• How many freelance (or contract) employees do I have in my business?

• Do I know who supplies staff to my business?

• Do I have a flat fee and refund period agreed with each recruitment consultant I deal with?

• Do I engage with recruitment suppliers in the same way I would with other product/system

material suppliers in my business?

• Is the current recruitment process effective, efficient and successful?

• Is there a better way of doing this?

Precise Consultants understands that the offshore industry is an incredibly varied one. This is certainly not a

profession where one size fits all in terms of personnel working in roles offshore. As such we provide a wide

range of personnel to undertake these critical projects for our clients.

Geophysical

The geophysical survey is widely used to depict the condition of seafloor and its sub seabed. The

image of seafloor and its sub seabed is used to analyse and characterise geological formation in terms

of its physical properties. The interpretation of the seafloor and its sub seabed can determine the

existence of potential hydrocarbon fuel (natural oil and gas), as well as minerals (metals, aggregates)

and heat energy in the particular survey area.

1. Marine Seismic Survey

• Marine 2D High Resolution Seismic Survey

• Marine 2D Seismic Survey for Exploration

2. Analogue Survey

• Analogue Site Survey

• Analogue Pipeline/Cable Route Survey

3. Investigation Survey

• Debris Clearance Survey

• UXO (Unexploded Ordnance) Survey

• Scout Survey

Geotechnical

Nowadays most marine/offshore construction activities require the study of sub seabed and its

vicinity in order to analyse and determine the best and safest position. For example, before placing a

jack-up rig in the proposed position, the survey team must have the soil to determine the subsurface

condition and materials, the physical and chemical properties of those materials among other

aspects. Beside the placement of offshore platforms, submarine pipe-lay activities usually also

require soil information of the area. This is what Geotechnical Survey is all about. Using principles of

soil and rock mechanics, the survey will help determine:

• Standard Penetration Test (SPT)

• Soil boring

• Cone Penetration Test (CPT)

12

Metocean

The Metocean Survey collects and analyses the data of the tidal, waves, winds, and currents

conditions that affect marine survey at the survey location and its vicinity. This survey is able to predict

the Metocean phenomenon that may occur once in a hundred years which is important for designing

offshore structure and also measuring, interpreting the physical features of the oceans, seas, lakes,

and rivers.

1. Met-Ocean & Mooring Survey

Output : Analyses & prediction, 2D & 3D Oceanographic Modelling

Data Usage : Physical Met-Ocean Study, Engineering Design

2. 2D & 3D Bathymetric Survey

1. Seabed Mapping

2. 2D/3D Bathymetry Survey

Geodetic

A map, as a representation of an area of land or sea, is the most essential aspect in the survey

services world. To produce a map, geodetic survey should be performed.

1. Geodetic Control Point Establishment

2. Aerial Mapping & LIDAR

3. Topographic Survey

freelancers who work through us will always be paid, regardless of any potential extenuating

circumstances.

Precise Consultants has a range of insurance policies. We work in adherence to our clients’

contractual requirements, and offer the following insurance positions - where these policies differ or

extend to other areas we will notify you directly.

Public Liability

We provide cover if, through your negligence, you cause loss or damage in the course of your business

to other people or other people’s property and a claim is made against you*. However no cover will

be provided in the event of your gross negligence.

*Insurers will arrange legal representation

Professional Indemnity (PI)

Professional indemnity (also referring to Errors or Omissions) is where an individual gives advice or a

professional opinion that is subsequently found to be incorrect, and where the party to whom that

advice was given suffers injury, damage or financial loss.

We do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to your own belongings. We highly

recommend that you take out cover under your home contents insurance policy.

specific benefits you will receive if you suffer from an occupational accident or disease. They are not

dependent on blame. If you live in the UK and pay UK tax then these benefits are payable through a

social fund supported by taxation. If you live outside the UK please check local requirements.

We do not provide cover for Workmen’s Compensation Benefits.

Business Travel
