My Workbench This section allows you to control the content workflow
Dashboard This will overlay your Drupal dashboard over whatever page you were looking at. Rarely used as much as the primary navigation, this gives you a snapshot on what’s been recently updated or added.
Content Your access to add, edit, or remove content
Global Link Here, you can access the site’s directory of pages available to send for translations.

5 A. REVIEWING CONTENT VIA EMAIL NOTIFICATION
Once an Editor adds or edits content, the Content Manager will be notified via email. The
email should provide you the direct URL to the page the editor is requesting for you to
review. The email will look similar to:
1. Click on the URL provided in the email. This should take you directly into Drupal CMS to
the front-end content page the Editor has requested of you to review.
2. Review the content for accuracy.

MY WORKBENCH
The module called “Workbench” is used for the content workflow on the website between
Content Editors and Content Managers. In general, the “My Workbench” tab within Drupal
contains all of the content workflow.
5B. REVIEWING CONTENT VIA “MY WORKBENCH”
1. As a Content Manager you will be emailed to alert you to review a piece of content, or
you can click on the “Needs Review” tab of the “My Workbench” section of Drupal.
2. Once you get to the “Needs Review” tab, you will see a list of the content that needs
review.
3. Click on “View Moderation History” to review notes that may have been entered by the
Content Editor.

4. To review the content on the front-end, you may click on “View Draft”
5. To review the content on the back-end, as well as the “Suggested Translations” from the
Content Editor, you may click on “Edit Draft”.

6. SETTING CONTENT TO PUBLISHED AND NOTIFYING EDITOR
1. From the REVIEW step, Click on the ‘Edit Draft’ tab.
2. Scroll down to the Revision information section
a. Update the moderation state to ‘Published’
b. Select Content Editor from the drop-down [this will generate an email to the
EDITOR informing them the content has been published]
c. Click ‘Save’

7. SETTING CONTENT BACK TO DRAFT
1. From the REVIEW step, Click on the ‘Edit Draft’ tab.
2. Scroll down to the Revision information section
a. Add message to Revision Log Message box if necessary
b. Update the moderation state to ‘Draft’ i. Note: You must toggle Moderation state to ‘Needs Review’ and back to ‘Draft’ in order
for Content Editor List to appear.
c. Select Content Editor from the drop-down [this will generate an email to the
EDITOR informing them the content has been moved back to draft]
d. Click ‘Save’

9 – GLOSSARY AND TERMS
Term Definition
CMS Content Management System (CMS), in the context of a website, serves as a collection of tools that allow the creation, modification, organization, search, retrieval and removal of information.
Content The text, images, and other information on a web site. A single web site could contain many types of content, such as news items, product detail, industry detail, locations, resources and images.
Node A piece of content in Drupal, typically corresponding to a single page on the site that has a title, an optional body, and perhaps additional fields.
Moderation State
A state through which a node passes in order to become published.
Content Types Definition
Event Events could represents marketing events such as trade shows and exhibits; or new office locations for Houghton.
News Houghton news could include acquisitions, awards, new product launches, Executive leadership updates, and industry partnerships
Resource Resources can include PDS [Product Data Sheet], case studies, marketing brochures, white papers and articles, product brochures or manuals, technical tips, published papers, GHS product label samples, etc.
Product Detail A Product Detail Page will contain details about Houghton’s products, including product name, product description and features & benefits, primary application, sub-applications, and chemical compositions.
Moderation States
Definition
Draft The state of a node that is not viewable by visitors to the website. Content that is ‘work in progress’
Needs Review The state of a node that is not viewable by visitors to the website. The content is ready for moderation.
Published The state of a node that can be viewed by visitors to the website
