My name is Steve Perfetto and I am senior construction executive for The Procaccianti

Group (TPG). TPG owns many high end hotel chains and commercial properties in Rhode

Island and surrounding region. I met Jhonny when he competed and won the contract for

renovating the Holiday Inn, South Kingston, Rhode Island project. I was impressed with his

ability to plan, coordinate and execute his workforce, subcontractors and vendors to

deliver a completed job. The workmanship was excellent and problem solving was

seamless with no impact on the operations of the hotel, which remained in business during

the renovations.

Since that project, Heroica Construction has completed two other major renovations for

TPG. They include the Renovation of the Bar and Lounge at the Hilton Providence, and

General Repairs to the Kitchen at the Hilton Wyndham Gardens.

I was pleased with Heroica involvement to help TPG coordinate our subs and vendors that

were not part of their contract. These vendors mainly provided services to the bar (soda

lines, beer lines, bar sinks and equipment, and millwork) as well to other areas of the

project. Heroica worked very closely with the interior designer to resolve and coordinate

design issue. They provided craftsman to hang a number of artwork, memorabilia, and

pictures that were not specified on the drawings. Their willingness to help with the

aforementioned items resulted in a spectacular finish, which has been well received by the

hotel management sta� and general public.

The scope of work for this transformative project consisted of selective demolition, concrete

and saw cutting, rough and finish carpentry, doors and hardware, metal stud and drywall walls,

ceilings and so�ts, acoustical tile ceilings, millwork, painting, carpet and ceramic tile flooring,

wall covering, toilet partitions, bathroom accessories, plumbing, electrical, and furniture

fixtures and equipment. I was satisfied with the manner in which the project was executed and

subsequently closed out with final inspections and a certificate of occupancy.

This project although small in size was just as important to TPG to service the hotel’s patrons

in a manner we are accustomed to providing. This contract involved the installation of new

FRP wall panels, patching and installing new ceramic wall tiles, and epoxy painting the kitchen

floor. Heroica was chosen for this project based on their available workforce and the

outstanding e�ort they made and high quality workmanship they provided on the Holiday Inn.

I was happy to negotiate this contract to the benefit of TPG and Heroica. As a result they

finished the project on time and on budget.

The scope of work for this high profile project in the center of the downtown commercial

district included selective demolition of the old bar and porcelain flooring, concrete saw

cutting, rough and finish carpentry, a tongue and groove wood flooring product install on the

ceiling over the new bar, acoustical tile ceilings, painting, wall covering, new 32”x32” porcelain

floor tiles and 6”x6” quarry tiles, relocating sprinkler head, reconfiguring the plumbing and bar

equipment to fit the new layout, and new wiring for power, networking, Internet, and

specialized lighting fixtures at the bar, lounge and dining areas.
