Climate Change and Food Security
The entire food system is a source of greenhouse gas emissions.
Climate change will exacerbate food insecurity in many countries and affect all four dimensions of food security: food availability, food accessibility food utilization and food systems stability.
Climate change will affect in particular already vulnerable people and food systems.
FAO’s Climate Change Strategy
Climate change imposes new risks on the world’s 850 million poor and food insecure people.
