Whenever New Year's Day, Independence Day, Veteran's Day, or Christmas Day falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be a holiday. When Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve falls on Friday, the holiday shall be observed on the preceding Thursday. When Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve falls on Saturday or Sunday, the holiday shall be observed on the preceding Friday. Eligible employees shall only receive holiday pay if they work the day before and the day after a holiday, unless excused by their supervisor.
