discount and to confirm your interest, please contact us for full details and terms. We have a demonstration vehicle

here that can be viewed by appointment. The pre-order will be open until 30th April 2016 and we require 10

confirmed orders to put the kit into manufacture. Manufacture time is estimated at 10 – 12 weeks, fitted

conversions will be booked in the order that deposits are taken. **

The Brief

As some may know we have been involved with Turbo charging many Renault engines. In the case of the Renault 2.0

16v F4R, we were the first to turbo charge the earlier Clio 2 RS F4R (73* engines) back in 2002 and to this day they

are more popular than ever. Since this time we have produced or been involved with a lot of various Road Cars,

Track Cars, Daily drivers and some extremely high boost high powered setups. In recent times our attention has

been aimed at producing more reachable performance packages that offer good genuine gains in performance, but

also deliver impeccable road manors and a factory like drive.

Key targets met for the Clio 3RS Turbo conversion are listed below:-

· 250 BHP Conversion based on the OEM engine (11.5:1 CR) with a good spread of torque. This would give us

a better power to weight ratio over a Megane 275 Trophy-S.

· Try not to dilute the rev range of the engine.

· 250 Conversion must run safely on 98+ Ron Unleaded Pump Fuel.

· Retains Air conditioning, but can be used with Air Con Delete Kits.

· Retains factory EOBD engine diagnostics*

· No unwanted dashboard warning lights.

· Fully working factory cruise control and traction control for applicable models*.

· Reliability and performance to satisfy the Daily Driver, Fast Road User and Track Day enthusiast.

· Will pass a MOT emissions test with a catalyst fitted.

· Full cycle of Air Bag and Engine Warning Lights as STD.

· Low maintenance costs with no major decline in Fuel MPG for daily sensible driving. *Applicable with AEM ECU solution only.

The Conversion

We are proud to present the Engine Dynamics 250 Turbo Conversion to suit all models of Clio 3 RS 197 / 200.

Our latest dyno figures show an impressive 252.5 BHP peak performance with peak torque of 225 lbft, however

more impressive is that over 200 lbft of torque is available from 3000 – 6500rpm. The engine still retains that lively

top end rev happy feel to still satisfy the hard core Clio 3 RS owner.

We have 2 engine management options for the conversion currently. First up is an AEM ECU that works in tandem

with a re-programmed factory ECU and takes care of the boosting side of the engine. Secondly we have a Specialist

Components Delta 800 (Standalone) ECU that plugs in place of the factory ECU, this ECU comes with a pre-loaded

base map and would be more suited to overseas or customers fitting the kit themselves as they can have the car

finely tuned to suit i.e. petrol quality and climate.

So how does it compare?

The above Dyno graph is a comparison between our 250 BHP converted Clio 3 RS 197 vs Clio 3 RS 200 with PerformanceECU map and cat back exhaust system. You can clearly see the difference not only in the peak figures, but the spread ofpower and torque increase throughout the rev range. An astonishing 80 lb of torque at 4100rpm over the Clio 200 with a performance ECU file! Check out how it stacks up against other vehicles in the below BHP per Ton summary.

How does it look under the bonnet?

Above image is the finished look on our 250 demonstraon car.

Our aim is always the same, neat , dy and if possible Factory OEM look. All our kits are finished in black alloy pipeworkand black hoses, we don't offer coloured or polished finishes. This not only keeps it simple, but is more appealing to most of our customers who seem to prefer that way.

To look at the car the only give away is the intercooler in the front bumper, although these can be finished in black forthat total stealth look if required.

Q) Does the car need any other modifications to suit?A) The kit is complete with all that's needed to convert your car, however results shown are produced with a de-cat pipe and Scorpion cat back exhaust system. Most owners have already fitted after market exhausts and we would recommend de-catpipe or sports cat to be fitted.

Q) Im an overseas customer is the kit suitable?A) At this time the conversion is designed for right hand drive (RHD) cars, however we feel only a slight change to the top boost hose is required to suit left hand drive (LHD) cars. For overseas customers with RHD cars we would recommend theoptional SC 800 Delta ECU as it can be fine tuned local to you if required. Contact us if you have a LHD car.

Q) Im interested, can I put my name down and when will the work be done?A) The conversion will only go ahead if enough interest is gathered. We are running a pre-order until 29th April 2016, this requires a £500.00 GBP deposit and will also save you around 10% on the list price. We are looking for 10 - 15 pre-ordersto warrant manufacture of certain parts, as soon as we gain that interest manufacture is estimated at 10 - 12 weeks. This deposit is non-refundable except in the instance that we do not have enough interest, in which case your deposit will be returned.

Q) Are you offering higher powered kits?A) Maybe in the future yes, but initially the 250 conversion will be all that's offered.

Q) Can I upgrade the conversion at a later date.?A) Yes, with the addition of forged engine parts, fuel system mods, performance clutch and ECU map to suit, should see 300bhp

Q) Which Fuel quality must be used?A) You must use 98+ RON, we recommend Tesco 99 or Shell V-Power. If you have lower quality fuel then you would need

Q) Do you give a warranty?A) 12 months warranty on the parts supplied, 3 months warranty parts and labour for conversions fitted in house, with a further9 months warranty on the parts supplied.

Q) Do you offer finance?A) No, but to be honest there is better rates on personal loans that can be found online.

Q) Are you modifying the gearbox, don't they have synchro issues?A) Synchro’s will not be affected by the torque as that is an engagement issue and engine rpm is the same. Yes there have beenissues with some gearboxes in NA format, but on the same token some are still going strong. It was a very similar on the Clio 172/182 kits many years ago with concerns on gearbox strength, but as shown they can live with it, more so on low boost kits. Ultimately 197 / 200 synchro’s can be replaced if required. On a plus note it is easier to drive with the extra torque so you don't find yourself having to rush the gear changes to keep the engine on the boil. Rushed changes are one of biggest culprits of synchro damage!

Q) Is the engine strong enough as its not a turbo engine from the factory?A) The main difference with a factory turbo engine is that it has a lower compression ratio, saying that modern turbo enginesare coming away from the low compression. The real key is engine management, with correct mapping and 98+ Ron fuelthere is no concern for engine reliability.

Q) My Clio RS has covered 100,000 miles do I need to refresh the engine?A) If its been well serviced, then probably not. We have converted many 172 / 182 engines well over 100K and no issues. We can always give the engine a health inspection if you have any concerns.

Q) Do I need an uprated clutch?A) On the low boost kit no, just an OEM clutch in good working order, however if used hard on the track it would be advised toup-rate the clutch.

Q) Would it be easier to transplant the Megane 225 / 230 Engine?A) Yes and No, although some customers are not interested in engine swops, more so our overseas customers. We are not trying to compete with such transplants, just providing another solution.
