Traditional Door Lock With PTC

•When the washing program is started by pressing the START/PAUSE button, the bi-metal PTC (contacts 3-5) is powered by the triac on the PCB: after 2 – 4 seconds, this closes the switch (5-4) which powers the electrical components of the appliance (only if the door is closed).• At the end of the washing program, the PCB disconnects the interlock from the power supply, but the door remains locked for 1 to 2 minutes (PTC cooling time).

The electronic pressure sensor is an analogue device that controls the water level in the drum. A changing frequency signal will show the amount of waterin the drum to the main board.

Service Mode

Activation:

1. Cancel the set programeand switch the appliance off.

2. Press START/PAUSE and the nearest button simultaneously and switch the program selector to firstposition clockwise.

3. Hold the START/PAUSE and option buttons pressed till DIAGNOSTIC MODE appears or till the LEDsstart flashing (about 5 seconds).

To exit the service cycle switch the applianceoff, on and then off again.

Service Mode

In this 1st selector position starts the User Interface test cycle; all LED (LCD) are lighted on sequentially, and pressing any key the correspondent LED (LCD) is lighted on.

Moving in clockwise direction, for any position there is a different test:Position 1: User interface test cyclePosition 2: Water load from wash compartment.Position 3: Water load from prewash compartment.Position 4: Water load from softner compartment.Position 5: Water load from 3rd valve.Position 6: Wash heater activation.Position 7: Spin phase at 250 rpm with water in the tub

(leakage test).Position 8: Drain and spin phase at max. spin speed.Position 9: Drum positioning (for top-loaders).Position 10: Last alarm display and possible reset. (New: last 3

alarms are saved in alarm memory)

Alarm Management In User Mode

1. Buzzer sounds for alarms which are shown to the customer only (E10, E20, E40, EF0, excepted EB0)

2. Buzzer sounds with a specific sequence of three short beepsabout every 20 seconds (for TC1 – appliances a special jingle will be played for warnings)

3. In case of alarm the red Start/Pause – LED flashes as long as the fault condition is present (0,5s on, 0,5s off)

4. For TC1 appliances with graphic LCD display the warnings will be shown as text messages

Fast alarm reading is possible like in the presentwashing machine range by pressing the standard key combination about 2 seconds.

Alarm Management In Service Mode

1. Turn the programme selector to the alarm memory position

2. Red and green LEDs integrated in Start/Pause key flash alternated according to alarmn code:- Red LED shows the alarm family code (E42 4 times)- Green LED shows the alarm number (E42 2 times)

3. Alarm will be shown completely in time to end display, if LCDdisplay available (example: E42)

4. For graphic LCD user interfaces (TC1) a specific customer screen with complete alarm code and possible supplemen-tary text descriptions can be shown

5. Delete the alarm memory by pressing standard key combination

Alarm Table

The creation of the new alarm table is still in development.

It can be found in the new service manuals for the ENV06

washing machine models when available.

In general the alarm codes are the same like in the current

ranges.

Some failure codes will be deleted and some new alarms will

be added.
