Cloud Computing
By :- Vijay M. Chaudhary
Introduction:-
Cloud computing is a marketing term for technology
End - user do not require any knowledge regarding system
It gives ease-of-access to remote computing sites provided by the Internet
Users can access and use facilities through a web browser
Simply we can say cloud computing the delivery of computing as a service rather than a product
Why Cloud Computing????
Characteristics:-
Security focused Empowerment of end-user Application programming interface (API) Cost efficient Agility of infrastructure Multi-tenancy of resources Reliability improved Scalability and Elasticity of resources Performance monitoring
Layers:-
1. Layer 1 – Server
2. Layer 2 – Infrastructure
3. Layer 3 - Platform
4. Layer 4 - Application
5. Layer 5 - Client
Architecture:-
1. Cloud Infrastructure
2. Cloud Service
3. Cloud Platform
4. Cloud Storage
Working:-
In this architecture you use a complete application running on someone else's system
In this architecture you're buying access to raw computing hardware over the Net, such as servers or storage.
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)1 Software as a
Service (SaaS)2 Platform as a Service (PaaS)3
Types of Cloud Computing Model:-
In this you develop applications using Web-based tools so they run on systems software and hardware provided by another company.
Types of Development Model:-
1. Public cloud
In this model the service provider, provides services as storage and application access free or on a pay-per-usage model.
2. Community cloud
In this model infrastructure is shared between several organizations, including factors such as security, compliance, jurisdiction, etc. either managed internally or by a third-party.
3. Private cloud
Private cloud is infrastructure operated solely for a single organization, whether managed internally or by a third-party and hosted internally or externally.
4. Hybrid cloud
Combination of two or more clouds which may be private, public or community. It can also be defined as multiple cloud systems that are connected in a way that allows programs and data to be moved easily from one deployment system to another.
Cloud computing allows you to buy in only the services you want
Avoid equipment going out of date
It's really quick and easy to add new applications or services to your business
A physical storage center is no longer needed.
Relieves burden on IT Professionals and frees up their time in the office
Easily scalable
Access your data at all times
Advantages:-
Disadvantages:-
× Lost control comes with handing over your data and information
× Depending on third-party to ensure the security and confidentiality of data and information
× If your cloud host disappears, where does your information go?
× Not applicable for small business
× If you're using software as a service you need a reliable, high-speed, broadband Internet connection functioning the whole time you're working.
Conclusion:-
Cloud Computing Effects!!!!
A paradigm shift to cloud computing will affect many different sub-categories in computer industry such as software companies, internet service providers (ISPs) and hardware manufacturers.
Final Overview:-
There are some strong technical security arguments in favor of Cloud Computing - assuming we can find ways to manage the risks.
