Oracle VM VirtualBox Installation 1. Oracle VM VirtualBox Installation

1. Download the appropriate version of 'Oracle VM VirtualBox' from the below link.

2. Upon successful installation, Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager application appears as shown below.

3. Navigate to download of Cloudera's Hadoop Quickstart VM from the below link. You may have to fill-out a form before the actual download begins.

4. Click on the “Cloudera Quickstart VM” link at the middle of the page, it should show you the below page. Select the Version for “VirtualBox” and Click on 'Download'

5. You should be presented with a license agreement, please click “Accept”. The download should begin and it should be a 2 GB+ download.

6. The following Zip file can be seen in the corresponding downloaded folder location.

7. Extract (Unzip) the downloaded Zip file using WinZip or WinRAR applications. The following two (2) files can be seen upon completion.

8. Launch Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager application.

9. Click on 'Import Appliance' from File under Menu.

10. Navigate to the place where you have saved the extracted file and choose .OVF file and Click on "Next'.

11. The following Application Configuration Settings screen appears. Choose the defaults as shown and click “Import”

12. Once the import is done, your VirtualBox screen should look like this.

13. Double click on 'Cloudera-...' Application on the left side.

14. Cloudera Hadoop instance gets launched and the following screen appears.

15. Clicking on 'Cloudera Manager' would provide the following Information Assurance Policy with Username and Password. Click on 'I Agree'.

16. Login with the provided Username and Password.

17. It will display all the services including the cluster name.
