VAPIC-1 (2004) - Objectives

Improve water vapor retrievals at SIRTA

Compare WV retrieval techniques from ground-based remote sensing and satellites to better define uncertainties and limitations

Test methodologies for simultaneous exploitation of ground and satellite data to produce 3D/4D WV fields.

Develop methodologies to exploit measurements in preparation of the African Monsoon Multi-disciplinary Analysis project (AMMA, 2006).

VAPIC-2 (2005) Objectives

To study low-altitude cloud formation processes (boundary layer clouds) in mid-latitudes.
