If you have a current police check and would like to help in the canteen, please speak to Jo, our canteen manager UNIFORM SHOP Tuesday to Friday 8.30am - 9am Congratulations to everyone involved in our Community Night last Thursday - what a wonderful celebration it was. Special thanks to Debbie Johnson who coordinated this event once again. STAFFING 2017 A note went home on Friday from Julie Bishop informing the school community that she will no longer continue as Principal at Clovelly Park as she will be continuing her role as a School Review Officer in central office. We thank her for her enormous contribution to our school, particularly in literacy improvement and wish her well in the future. Michael Clarke will be the Acting Principal for the first two terms while the position will be advertised. I will be moving on to Ascot Park Primary School as Principal. I thank you all for your support of me, the staff and most importantly your children and for making our school the wonderful community school it is today. Karen Gibson will be changing her role next year from Counsellor to EALD teacher. We thank her for her leadership in our Wellbeing plan and also KidsMatter. Congratulations to Zoe Wecker who has won the Counsellor role for 2017. FAREWELLS Congratulations to Vicki Faulkner who has been seconded to central office for 2017 as Program Officer - Early Career Teacher which is great recognition of her work as a Highly Accomplished teacher. Congratulations to Harvinder Saini who has won an IELC position at Elizabeth Downs. We wish her all the best and thank her for all her commitment in both IELC and in Science. On behalf of the Marion Inland Partnership we thank Sally Owen for her contribution to the teaching and learning program at school and the partnership. Due to changes in staffing and enrolments we have to say goodbye to some of our other contract teachers: Erin O’Grady Steve Boggiano Viki Daher Megan Debicke Adele Taylor We thank them all for their contribution to our school and wish them good luck in their future teaching careers. We also thank our SSOs for their work and hope to see them back next year. CLASSES 2017 We have a few changes in classrooms and where they will be situated. The main one is that the Orange unit will be the Technologies and Science rooms which will work well in relation to the Department's new focus on STEM (Science, Technologies, Engineering and Maths). Students will visit their new classrooms on Friday. A note will be sent home then with the updated classrooms and staffing arrangements.
