What is PAWS Club?

P.A.W.S. (Protection, Animal Welfare & Service) is a club dedicated to promoting animalwelfare and doing community service to benefit animal organizations. We believe that animals

should be treated humanely, and throughout the year we do projects to promote awareness inthe school and in the community. We also invite speakers from the community and watchvideos to learn more about animal issues.

What are our current projects and upcoming events?

PAWS club has been volunteering at holiday events for the MSPCA and the Bay StateAnimal Cooperative. We could use some help at a gift wrapping event which is on December 17, 21, and 22. We will be wrapping gifts in Barnes & Noble and collecting donations to benefitthe Bay State Animal Cooperative. In January, we will be filming a PSA on an animal issue andplanning our children’s library program at the Sharon Public Library. There, we will be readinganimal stories to 3-5 year olds, doing arts and crafts, and talking about treating animals well. We

will also be planning a fundraiser to benefit a local shelter. We always have a lot going on, andwe are always looking for new members to help out. Come stop by any time to find out more or contact Melissa Jay @ [email protected] with any questions.
