Our children will be ready for Kindergarten 2014

Thank you to everyone who attended the information session this morning regarding getting ready for Kindergarten next year. We hope you found this session useful and informative. We thank Rachel Bertuzzi Best Start Consultant),for presenting this session.

Thanks also to our Learning Assistance Support Teacher (LAST) teacher, Margaret Simpson, for also being present to pass on valuable advice.

There will be four orientation sessions in Term 4. We hope that everyone has received this information by various media.

We have had a wonderful response to kindergarten enrolments this year and this means a straight kindergarten class which will be taught by Mrs Lorraine McKenzie.

Do you know anyone considering Clunes Public School for 2014?

We have also had other year enquires too. If your child is in zone for our area and you are interested in enrolling your child at our school next year, please contact the school as soon as possible. Student numbers affect staff numbers.

It is always a great idea for a child to visit their future school prior to starting to make new friends and feel confident and excited about a new start the following year. Staff members are always happy to talk with community about our school. In fact, if you drop in on Saturday to vote, you’ll be able to chat with staff and P & C, while you are purchasing some of the delicious food for sale! We hope to see you there.

Hey have you seen our Vegetable Gardens?

Mr Sky and the garden club students have been working hard each week to re-establish this environmentally sustainable program.

It is exciting to see those first shoots and leaves appearing. Marnie even got to try her first radish !

Year 4, 5 & 6 students excursion

Our fabulous trip is fast approaching and we need to ensure all fees and paperwork has been completed. Students have also been involved in last minute planning, researching venues and considering buddies and roommates. We are all getting very excited.

Don’t forget about our information afternoon at 5pm on the last Tuesday of this term.
