AfteranamendmentpassedbyParliamentofIndia,theInstituteisnowrenamedas''TheInstituteofCostAccountantsofIndia''from''TheInstituteofCostandWorksAccountantsofIndia''.Thisstepisaimedtowardssynergizingwiththeglobalmanagementaccountingbodies,sharingthebestpracticesanditwillbeusefultolargenumberoftrans-nationalIndiancompaniesoperatingfromIndiaandabroadtoremaincompetitive.Withthecurrentemphasisonmanagementofresources,thespecializedknowledgeofevaluatingoperatingef�iciencyandstrategicmanagementtheprofessionalsareknownas''CostandManagementAccountants(CMAs)''.TheInstituteisthe
