March 20, 2020 CMHA-NL Directors, Members, and Staff: Each year CMHA-NL recognizes a volunteer whose work and tireless commitment contribute to mental health in Newfoundland and Labrador. Award Details: The Pottle Award This award was established in memoriam of the late Dr. Clarence Pottle, a psychiatrist and the first provincial Director of Mental Health Services in Newfoundland and Labrador. This award will honour a volunteer in the community who has demonstrated tireless commitment towards furthering mental health in Newfoundland and Labrador. It will be awarded based on the quality and quantity of volunteer work and overall impact within the community. Nominations are accepted from CMHA-NL staff and members in good standing. This will be awarded by the CMHA-NL President upon recommendation from the Awards Committee subject to Board of Directors approval. As Chair of the CMHA-NL Awards Committee, I hereby invite you to submit your nominations for this award by April 24, 2020.
