CHILDREN’S MUSEUM AND LIBRARY INC.

As the youth arm of CMLI, the Junior Council is a living testa-ment that no one can ever be 'too young' to affect change.

JC-NEBThe NATIONAL EXECUTIVE BOARD (NEB) conducts most of the annual projects of CMLI. These include three national conventions and at least two regional competitions. From decision-making to project implementation and evaluation, NEB officers have consid-erable autonomy and responsibility over these projects. They are elected by the National Congress every October.

JC-REBThe REGIONAL EXECUTIVE BOARD (REB) leads the student-led regional operations of CMLI. There are eight Regional Executive Boards: six Regions in Luzon, one in Visayas and one in Mindanao. The projects of the regional bodies change on a regular basis, de-pending on how the officers see its relevance in their respective regions. These projects are subject to the approval of the CMLI

officers. REB are also elected every October.

Youth-oriented and youth-led, CMLI envisions a proactive Filipino youth geared in knowledge, skill, and attitude to

address today’s most pressing social issues.

HISTORYEstablishedEstablished in 1957 by the late Atty. Fernanda S. Balboa, the Children’s Museum and Library, Inc. (CMLI) is a non-stock, nonprofit organization working to promote the welfare and de-velopment of the country’s youth. This organization has endeav-ored to live up to its avowed objectives in uplifting skills of the Filipino children in language and visual arts while promoting deeper appreciation and understanding of the Philippine cultural heritage.

For fifty-four years, CMLI, as an institution, has been contribut-ing to the intellectual, social and cultural growth of our young through various symposia, seminars, exhibits, talent competi-tions and scholarship grants. In the meantime, CMLI continues to build a library for, by and about the Filipino children by col-lecting their works, artifacts, and memorabilia as the youth of our nation.

VISIONCMLI envisions to produce morally upright student-leaders imbued with values and attitudes and are equipped with skills relevant to the demands of the advancing Philippine society.

MISSIONCMLICMLI is committed to empower the Filipino youth to be cata-lysts of relevant change in their school, community and the country through leadership training, values formation educa-tion and talent development.

CMLI CONVENTION SUPPORT

The members of the association also take time to go back and give back to the flagship project of CMLI, the annual national con-ventions held in Baguio City. As the incumbent Junior Council officers serve as the main organiz-ers of these conventions, alumni would come here as facilitators or workshop speakers to make the event possible.
