The Catalyst Model

2nd grade: Students are pulled to a central location (2x per week)

Enrichment lessons are taught (Reading & Math)

Students usually receive a weekly follow-up assignment/activity

Work completed in I & E (Extension Time)

This gives the students a time during the week to interact with students from other classrooms.

The classroom teachers and TD/Catalyst teacher share the responsibility for the education of gifted students.
