One day on a sunny a+ernoon, a li0le red hen found a handful of grain. “Who will help me plant this wheat?” she asked. “I won’t,” assured the dog. “I won’t,” echoed the cat. “I will not,” replied the mouse. “Then I will,” said the hen and
began to plant the wheat.
A+er the wheat was planted, the li0le red hen got hungrier and wanted to grind the wheat so she asked, “Who will come with me to grind this wheat?” “I won’t,” assured the dog “I won’t,” echoed the cat “I will not,” replied the mouse
“Then I will,” said the hen and took off to the grind where the wheat would be ground into flour. A+er the wheat was ground
she went back to her friends an asked, “Who will help me make this bread.” “I won’t,” assured the dog. “I won’t,” echoed the cat. “I will not,” replied the mouse. “Then I will,” said the hen and
put the flour in the oven.
Once the wheat was si+ed, she added other ingredients to make it taste perfect. As soon as she heard that the baking was finished, all three animals were in her house. “Who will help me eat this bread.” “I will,” assured the dog. “I will,” echoed the cat. “I will,” replied the mouse. “No, I think I will. Maybe
next Kme I’ll need some volunteers to help me.” And she ate it all.
