• Grinding of flute and spiral point in one clamping.
• Extremely powerful machine for grinding of single or multiple flutes in straight, right and left hand spiral taps.
• No extra time for loading and unloading due to preven turret head system.
• Different mechanical loading and unloading systems as well as robot loading solutions can be selected.
• Special machine control for high speed grinding.
• The taps are loaded automatically into the square collet of the workpiece carrier. The turret head rotates by 120° to position the workpiece.
• Flute grinding of the taps with assistance of a guide bushing in a closed pressure chamber which is filled with coolant.
• For spiral points a second wheel, mounted on the same spindle, is used. The guide bushing is moved automatically backwards to keep the front part of the tap free for grinding the spiral point.
• After grinding the workpiece carrier moves backwards, rotates by another 120° into unloading position, the collet opens and the tap can be removed.
• Meanwhile a further tap is loaded and ready to grind.
