Grants for household and disability items in Cottenham Cottenham United Charities is a group of local charities, including the John Moreton Trust, that provides accommodation in 7 almshouses in the village and gives grants to those in need.

Cottenham United Charities have funds available for low-income and disabled Cottenham residents for household and disability items.

Cottenham Charities can also give support to elderly frail residents who would like the assurance of a Community Lifeline alarm but are put off by the cost of installing and renting the system.

Share your views on care at home My name is Suzanne Hughes and I am a Doctoral Researcher interested in the care that older people receive in their own homes and how it makes them feel.

I am looking for people aged 65 plus living in the East Anglia region who might like to take part in a study.

Firstly, I would visit you and you can tell me about yourself; how things have changed for you since you have got older, how you first started receiving care and how you have found the care you receive affects you

Secondly, I would ask you to complete a two week diary where you would record experiences that you think are important and how these make you feel.

Finally, I would come and collect the diary and return approximately one week later to talk about the entries and discuss further your overall experiences.

Please rest assured the information you provide would be STRICTLY confidential. Your personal details would not be passed to anyone else.

The study will take place through 2014.

If you are interested in taking part, or you would like further information about the study, please contact Suzanne Hughes Tel: 07578 869 384 or email to: [email protected]
