Purpose

InUnity2AA,costsbookedtoServiceandIndirectcostcentersare

consideredoverheads. Theseoverheadcostsneedtobedistributedtosemi-finishedorfinishedgoodsproduced,based onthemachinehoursrequiredforproduction.Thisallocationisdoneintwoways:

1.Byusingtemplateallocation 2.ByaddingServiceandIndirectoperationstotherouting,suchthatdurationismachine hours.

Incaseswheretemplateallocationisusedforoverheads,onetemplateisdefinedforeachplant, containingonerowforServicecostcentersandanotherrowforIndirectcostcenters.The templateisthenassignedtocontrollingarea,costingsheet,overheadkeyandenvironment.A customer-definedlogicalfunctionYUCO_ABC_ORDER_MACHINE_HOURisusedfor

environmentsCostEstimate/ProductionOrders(001)andProductCostCollector(010).

Otherproductionservicecosts(e.g.rawmaterial&packingmaterialwarehouse)wouldbe allocatedtoSKUsusingtemplateallocation.

CostsaccumulatedonproductionindirectcostcentersareallocatedtoSKUsdirectlyusing templateallocation.
