all students and contestants
were invited to attend.
From all of the contestants,
the judges managed to pick
the top 6 surfer’s to repre-
sent SCU in the up and com-
ing Australian University
Surfing Challenge, which was
held from Sunday the 26th–
Wednesday the 29th of June
2011.
Congratulations to all our
surfers!!
A special thanks to OSCA
for organising this event and
CoastRs for providing spon-
sorship.
Also a special thanks to Red
Bull and the Komune Resort
Coolangatta.
The annual Kings of Campus
Surf Challenge was held at
Cabarita Beach on Friday the
13th May 2011. This year
there were an overwhelming
amount of competitors
wanting to take part in the
surf challenge with 44 par-
ticipants, 13 Female and 31
Male which was a slight in-
crease from last year.
The day presented itself with
great swell and clear skies, it
was a surfer’s delight.
The heats kicked off at
8:00am and were very close
which made it difficult for
the judges to separate the
talented surfers. However
there were stand out con-
testants who managed to
catch the right wave and be
chosen to compete in the
finals, later that afternoon.
Congratulations to our
newly crowed King of Cam-
pus Sam Schuman, and our
Queen of Campus Stefanie
Crowley-Clough. The over-
all best Campus was
Lismore.
The party then kicked on to
