Codes and conventions of magazines

Title: usually in the top left hand side

Barcode: is in the bottom right hand corner OR wherever there is space. This has the price and issue number

Main image: usually a well known celebrity and takes up a the whole page.

Cover line: gets the audience’s attention and relate to the main image

Sub line: gives details about the cover line

Buzz words: make the magazines seem important e.g. New & exclusive
