CODING AND BILLING-INTRODUCTION (0) Upon completion of this workshop, the attendee will be able to: CANCER THERAPY (07) Upon completion of this workshop, the attendee will be able to: 1. Select patients for regional therapy based on clinical, radiologic, and laboratory parameters. 2. Provide periprocedural management for pa- tients undergoing regional therapy, including premedication, pain control and palliation of post-embolization syndrome. 3. Perform hepatic arterial chemoembolization. 4. Perform percutaneous alcohol ablation of tumors. 1. Provide a knowledge base from which practic- ing interventional radiologists can determine whether certain skills can and should be ap- plied to neurovascular problems. 2. Review relevant anatomy necessary to problem solving in acute case management. 3. Develop a better understanding of head and neck revascularization procedures with particu- lar emphasis on: a. management of acute stroke; b. revascularization of brachiocephalic stenoses and occlusions with emphasis on fibrinolytic therapy, balloon angioplasty, and stenting pro- cedures; c. management of carotid and vertebal stenoses with emphasis on fibrinolytic therapy, balloon angioplasty and stent placement; and d. discuss ethical issues relevant to carotid an- gioplasty and stenting and the various clinical scenarios whereby carotid angioplasty and stenting are appropriate by current data in the literature.
