SENIOR YEAR REMINDERS

○ Remind your student to keep taking a rigorous yet doable schedule. Community College recommends four years of Math and college prep English when possible.

○ Do not allow Senioritis to set in○ Remind your student to establish an appropriate email and to check regularly so that they do not miss

deadlines.○ Remind your students to do their research. Make sure they know what the colleges are looking for,

and when the deadlines are.○ Visit campuses when possible. Students get a good sense of whether or not a school is a good fit just

by walking around the campus and talking to students.○ Emphasize the importance of Teacher Advisement especially during Senior Year. A lot of important

information is distributed during this year and you do not want them to miss out on hearing the information.

○ Stress the importance of attending the workshops. Many questions are answered during this time. When we bring representatives in, the person presenting, may be the person reviewing your students application!
